Had a dentist appointment.
I think they purposely try to draw blood from my gum-line with those sharp plaque picks.

Last day of sitting around doing nothing before Spring quarter starts. Watching my nephew tomorrow and meeting my boyfriend's family this weekend (they're coming down from norcal). Nervous, yes. Very nervous. Almost too nervous thinking about that I don't want to eat my everything bagel. Almost.
Aside from that, I got my Amazon sillies today. Of course, my Tales from the Abyss is below my tub of protein powder. Thanks Amazon! EDIT: If anyone wants this afterglow shirt or w/e at http://rewards.pdp.com let me know and I'll give you the code for it. It's not worth the shipping and handling for me o-o

Marksman Bryan Wrote:Denied from Cornell It happens, Bryan. When I was a high school senior I applied to Cornell, early decision, with a triple legacy (both parents and an uncle), and was flat-out denied as well. Now, three years later, I couldn't be happier where I am, and don't know if going to Cornell, had I gotten in, would have landed me where I am as quickly or to the same degree. Life has funny ways of working out, and knowing that you've already been accepted to a million schools, I'm sure you'll end up where you're supposed to. That being said, I'm still massively rooting for you in your fight against Crohn's, which is your most difficult challenge yet, in my opinion. pineappleing disease needs to go die, ruining lives and all.

Attempted the Chinese foreign language exemption exam at my uni today (if I'm successful at it, I will not have to take any foreign language classes in college!).
Midway through, the exam started to become more and more difficult. Long story short, I decided to finish off the exam next week.
Spoiler
@Bryan: As Dan said, don't give up just yet. You'll not realize this right now, but eventually you'll find your "perfect" school, the school where you'll fit in and enjoy yourself! I mean, I ****ed up high school, didn't get into great colleges as a result (I did expect this **** to happen, yet was semi-depressed afterwards because I beat myself mentally over how I disgraced myself, if ya know what I mean). But long story short, I'm at a college where I feel happy and right at home. And beginning to find success in a number of places too. ![]() So I mean, Bryan, its not the end of the story. You'll find happiness and success somewhere else in the long run. Trust me.

Honestly, I don't think I would have gone to Cornell even if I did get accepted. I was more disappointed about MIT ![]() And just like you said, I've been accepted to six other great schools, so I'll be happy wherever I go (most likely WPI!). As for Crohn's, JUST got an e-mail back from the hospital; I have an appointment with the doctor on Tuesday and can start Remicade on Thursday. Perfect timing, too, because there could be side effects in the beginning (from what I understand), and that's the start of Spring Break. Only a week left! |
