How was your day?
Panacea Wrote:OkCupid. Are they the same or?

No I'm a complete dumbass who clearly lost his mind while posting that. It's OkCupid, and Wink at hearing your success with the site.

I made an account on a dating website and let's just say I'm really popular.

Going all in like a bawss eh? Wink

I just received word (via email) for an interview request from an internship that I applied to (for anyone that wants to know, I applied to both my Senators' offices in California; heard back from one of them so far). That was great news; they liked the stuff I submitted, so I'm very happy. Biggrin

However, the downside is that under no circumstances that I can fly back to California for a face-to-face (personal) interview (and the staff member who talked to me said they prefer personal interviews). Plus I'll be home bound to California when schools ends in 6-7 weeks from now. Which means I'll have to end up scheduling and doing a phone interview. While I'd like to do a personal interview, I have to work with the realistic options that I have and make the best out of it, I guess.

But still....being granted an interview?! Awwwwww yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Haha, I didn't even expect to have like six people talk to me in like two days. I'm keeping my eye on one or two, though. Wink

Why was writing about the transformation of a plasmid vector to contain a gene coding for green fluorescence easier than writing about the ability of tomato crops to compete? UGH

Done, just needs heavy revision. Now onto worrying about the Statistics midterm Thursday, edit this paper for Friday, volunteer in Detroit all day Saturday, and then I have a Chemistry midterm Monday I have to get at least a B+ on in order to save my grade. Joy.

Because you can't help but laugh at the idea of tomato crops "competing" in a survival of the fittest, much less turning it into an engaging topic. Now you see, tomato x has a higher lycopene factor which makes it ideal for... Heinz Ketchup.

Stats from what I recall was just making sure I had the right statistical tests for the correct samples sizes. Test x for sample size n, nn, nnn with distribution p, pp, ppp.

If you get a B+ in Chemistry then what will your final grade be like? Might want to skip on volunteering if it's a big deal. Will it be about concentration and some henderson hasselbalch? That stuff never gets old on exams.

This will be my test on Monday and let's just say I'm not exactly thrilled about it. Acids and bases can go jump a cliff.

Finished my calculus homework I'd been procrastinating really badly on (or well, however you want to look at it), and now I need to review for my Stat test today. Kurt copying my test schedule.

Chemistry made me lose my mind all the time. So much commitment for such a poorly taught class.

All but resigned to the likelihood of moving back in with the parents and continuing this job hunt farce all summer.

The dissonance blows. But keep your chin up.

I always hated chemistry too. Only chemistry I really had to use in med school is acid/base chemistry in physiology, though.

Feelin' pretty proud of myself. Despite taking 4 full time courses without the 5 pre-requisites you normally need I managed to pull a 4.0 in my first quarter at an American college :3

Stats exam is over the Big Five Hypothesis Testing, it's not a big concern, and the chemistry exam is over molecular geometry, electron clouds, phase changes, quantum numbers, and minor quantum physics. If I don't get a B+ or higher I have little chance of getting a B or higher as a term grade.
