Madonna "MDNA"

I'm guessing I'm one of the very few here unbelievably excited for this album, given the response I've seen from several of you with her Superbowl performance, but it's going to be awesome. Actually, in some sense it already is, given the tracks leaked online this past week and YouTube has them all up, albeit put through that "bump everything up a key" thing to dissuade video removal.

For those who don't know, Madonna's 12th studio album, "MDNA," is dropping on Monday. The record has been getting pretty positive acclaim from places like MTV and the Chicago Sun-Times, and after hearing the tracks myself I definitely agree. Though I'm a huge Madonna fan, there's no question some songs are gross/annoying/stupid, but a couple are absolute stand-outs for the club and summer nights.

Simply put, this electronic club-ready track sounds like TRON invaded Madonna's "Confessions on a Dance Floor."

Hailed by MTV as "a perfect summer song" that's "a big, anthemic dance-pop wonder with glittery synths and fun lyrics like "I don't know how I got to this stage / Let me out of my cage cause I'm dying / Turn up the radio, turn up the radio / Don't ask me where I wanna go, we gotta turn up the radio." This is the one that goes on your playlist for "driving fast in the summer with the windows rolled down and the speakers blasting."

She still looks good for her age, but the sight of her gyrating just makes me uncomfortable.

But I thought the responsibility was on the other person to deal with it, not the negative one to be quiet. It is part of becoming an adult, after all.

[MENTION=2749]Rick[/MENTION] do all pop songs (hell, many modern songs) follow the same four chord progression template? Sure they do. But the final products are all different in enough ways, and ultimately, no one is raging at the club to musicals (unless they're EDM remixes).

So far from what I've heard I love GMAYL/Girl Gone Wild, but the rest just feels like a Bionic ala xtina D:

I feel like it's sooo experimental + madonna doesn't have anything to prove, that it kind of flies through my ears :/

After listening to the tracks here... I really don't want to sit through the other songs, I'll give it a go when I feel like it...

I think she doesn't even look good, without photoshop anyways. And she's probably filled with botox too.

Besides I can't get over the fact that she actually says lady gaga copied her. Now I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga either, but that's just ridiculous considering just how much stuff Madonna has copied. I mean, the whole "Hung Up" song is basically ABBA with horrible lyrics.

Bought it and actually like most of the tracks. I love the sampling off of ABBA in Love Spent. Also, Falling Free reminds me of her rendition of Rainbow High in Evita. Loving her throwbacks but still keeping it fresh with a heavy electronic backing.
