What, no FFXIII-2 thread? POTENTIAL SPOILERS

It definitely builds something but it's not what you'd expect it to be about.

I'm actually looking forward to future story DLC because I want to see how they move forward from this point.

Looks like we can expect the first real story expansion around the end of February/beginning of March.

Here's my prediction for a future scenario (via DLC). Only read if you've beat the game.

 Snow

Only read this part if you've got the secret ending
 Lightning

Also, just realized that Caius is supposed to sound like Chaos. Ha.

Holy pomegranate, Jihl can be in my party? What's her feral link gonna be, Bosom Smother? I bet it will be as fanservicey as hell.
The next party member will be Galenth Dysley. I'm totally calling it right now.

Loved this comment:
Quote:Well, she's got the enemy status she deserved at las-

*BARTHANDELUS KILLS HER FROM BEHIND AND ASSUMES THE BOSS FIGHT*

SE Representative: Oops! The DLC is actually for Barthandelus. My bad.

Also in regards to Caius... I really liked his voice, but his lines were so incredibly hammed up. He was like a pantomime villain in a sense. What also annoyed me is how you fought him so many damn times, and his strategy never changed. It was always: Buff, interrupt attack with massively long-winded combo, chain break, heal, die, revive, exact same again. The only way he ever changed is that he did more damage later on in the game and made his combo slightly longer or something.

I swear, he's simultaneously one of the most interesting and boring villains ever.

Good, maybe that will explain a few things that happened in 500AF.

oh, it's the casino expansion, cleverly headlined as an expansion for an important character. That's nice.

Well that explains why the time gate for Serendipity shows Sazh in its little video thing. (He also briefly mentions visiting Serendipity in one of the fragments). Maybe it will explain a little bit more about Chocolina too, perhaps seeing the girls in chocobo outfits when she was a chick is what influenced the way she looks in the game.

I've been thinking about the ending, and honestly, it reeks.

Anyhow, i fought Lightning and Amodar, and i must admit it was a lot harder than i thought. Amodar hits like a train and inflicts as many status ailments as doomtrain. (FFVIII reference Tongue), so i always focused on taking him out first, after going sentinel for the first part where Amodar and Lightning are both in Commando role.

I tamed Lightning on my second attempt, and she's really good, i like her more than Cloudburst. the ability to put adornments on her is also fun (i gave her a halo Tongue). She can only level up to level 13, but she gains enough stats, and gains some cool abilities like elemental versions of the Blitz commando ability. She even has her own battle quotes. It's creepy when Serah says "Good boy" when Lightning kills something though.

Has anybody hear been quick enough to snag Amodar from the DLC battle? I can beat both of them twice, just not quick enough yet I guess.

OT: Made it the last episode, currently sitting at the three

part. After that I hear it's

which should be even harder! aha

I'm currently just finishing some side-stories and collecting fragments/grinding. Anybody know if
 Spoiler
is worth upgrading? He's a COMM I believe.

Sazh's Scenario has been released, it's really great to see Sazh again.

The interaction between him and Chocolina is just awesome, and the chocobo chick collecting is really cute.
"The chocobo chick has found hope in Sazh's Afro!"

Gonna try out the card tables now, since Chocolina has no more quests for me at the moment.
Awwwwwww

Did you have a feeling of who she was before this episode? I had a strong feeling of her being that. Liking the episode so far though, kinda disappointed it's just card games and quests from her.

How long is it? I haven't bought it yet (intend to either way) but just wondering.

It was mentioned in a fragment found in Serendipity, and hinted at by Chocolina herself when she says that she isn't human.

It's not that long in terms of actual content. The cutscenes last around 10-20 minutes in total, the chick collecting lasts about 15 minutes in total, the rest of the time is playing the card games to get enough fortune medals (i believe you need 30 medals)

It took me around 2 hours of playing Chronobird (which is a seriously fun card game, i actually really enjoyed it) to get enough medals to finish the scenario, so overall it's pretty short, but it was quite fun while it lasted.

And the Sazh party member is pretty fun too, you can equip him with the afro adornment, so he has an afro on his afro

LOL
Pervy Ultros ftw.

Also, Jihl. Yes please.

The mass effect outfits look so goddamn boring.

Ultros looks really weird. Whatever, if he still makes horrible puns, I'll buy it.

Reallllly wasn't expecting the Cinematic Action in that DLC
There was a total of 5 in the entire main game, even though they used it as a selling point.

Loved Ultros, he's funny.
Has anybody tried killing Ultros first and then Typhon?

You can actually get all 30 medals in < 15 minutes by playing poker and going all in immediately. Everyone folds (99% of the time, there are rare chances someone will challenge you but you can avoid those with save/load), you win 2 medals. Quit, come back, repeat.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

Yeah, the poker is fun and easy. Chronobird was crap. Too bad it came after I had already gotten everything from the casino.
