Help needed badly!

I played maplestory on my other computer, after a while it flips the screen over




it also flips the entire system over too
i tried using restore, now all i get is the XP load screen then it goes black, the only way to use it now is safe mode. Any help?


Chalfacar told me the reason why it happened,

let me guess, you have intel graphics and you hit ctrl, alt, and an arror key at the same time.

for whatever reason, intel enables this by default.

hit ctrl+alt+F12 to open the graphics properties and then go in and disable the screen rotation hotkeys.

but i cant even get to that part and reset it, im faced with a black screen right after the start up screen help please!

You can do it on your desktop....you don't need to do it on Maplestory.

what are you talking about o.0 the whole thing turns black when i try to start windows normally, things only start coming out if im in safe mode, and i cant change any of my settings in safe mode lol.

Ah, that's what you meant. I thoguht you were faced wiht a black screen when you hit the buttons during Maplestory or something...

I'm guessing you screwed something up on your computer when you system restored. Restore it back to its original status.

You should be able to change somthing in safe mode to fix this.

If you can ron, try changing your screen res. Also, sounds like bad ram in a way. if you have more the one stick in, take one out and try to boot up, if that does not work, put it back in and try it with the other one.

Is this on a laptop? Some pre-installed laptops have a certain kind of graphics program that when you hit Ctrl+Alt+(arrow keys) it will flip the screen and change it. I do not completely remember what to do to fix it.

You right click your background and I think you can reach some kind of graphics settings through that. If you can find your graphic-card settings for the computer you are using you can probably disable it through a menu there.


Edit: Did not read the bottom of your post. If you boot up in safe mode you could attempt a system restore to the current day, like a date after you restored it to, then try to change the graphics settings.

If you still have your Windows XP CD, boot from that and run chkdsk, I had to do that once.

try pressing f8 when the comp load and then choose "last known good configuration" instead of safe mode. if it doesnt work... format\repair windows.

You have monitor flipping enabled. Right click your graphics card icon in the taskbar and disable monitor hotkeys(rotation). Then, right click your desktop and go to 'graphics properties...' and go to the 'Display Settings' tab, there, uncheck the enable rotation checkbox and save your settings. Your desktop should go back to normal and you shouldn't have the problem anymore.

You might have messed something up with the windows restore thing, but this might work for safe mode as well. Give it a shot and see if that helps.
