These new sets of classes... they're all just filler content. They're just delaying adding anything more to the Black Mage storyline now.

Depends Flip. The KoC quest line could contribute things to the story and we still have a summer patch ahead of us. These classes seem to be just a way to put more input about the empress and her knights since KoC do a pretty cheesy job at it and Cygnus is an important figure.

When the Black Mage makes his debut, Maplestory will be dead. But honnestly they should release all of the other general boss out at once inside the black mage's headquarters so you can have like 10 different bosses to fight with all different styles.... who am i kidding...

Still inferior to Paladin's Self-Recovery and the DS Raven heal skill, but then again it doesn't need to be casted. (I'm a cheapass when it comes to potion use)

I hope that this is a replacement to Cygnus, they have all the same skills and bonuses as them, and even get the 10% exp up until 120. The only difference is that there's actually 200 levels on them. If they made this the new Cygnus I think it'd be fantastic, but with both the instructors and the Knights this makes absolutely no sense.

But still.. we're comparing a Paladin with this new class based on def. Besides def pallies barely have
any offensive capabilities or mobility. (Well we do get soul rush). Mikhail on the other hand seems to be

Soul Assault is a piece of crap compared to Blast judging only by delays, but chances are there's going to be some weird variable that offsets that.

I don't understand why they need to get 10% exp per level. Seems like overkill when all the other skills they have are taken into account. I just don't get it...

I never said mikhail is better in tanking. I'm saying that in every aspect besides tanking Mikhail is better.
And seeing how close Mikhail actually is to a paladins defensive skills + the fact of it being quite useless in Maple makes it even worse.
