Count me in. SP is the only site I'll probably ever whitelist.

You might want to link the image to this thread so people can learn why ads are important.

D'aw, fine.
I only turned ads off cause one was blocking the profile page, guess I never got around to re-disabling adblocker.

Okay, I'll whitelist.
Oh, and this chinchilla: should be the default avatar instead of the Question Mark Guy. >

It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

If it is related, then it must be about as insignificant as it can get, otherwise explain to me why I got an ad for polish singles while browsing the Godly Scrolled Items thread on a school computer. EDIT: @Eos Can you make that be on anyone's account who isn't blocking ads? :3

I believe Eos meant that it's based on what sites and pages you visit frequently, not necessarily the exact damn page you're on. Which means you are one lonely polish fellow.

Actually it's based on the context the advertiser chooses as relevant to their target audience, e.g. those sites think gamers are lonely antisocial geeks who need help finding mates. Wonder where on earth they get that notion

3 ads per page...Hmmm *checks page* Yea, it seems I don't have any ad-blocker. O.o Ads have never annoyed me.
2012-03-18, 11:35 PM
Honestly, I didn't even realize I was blocking ads for this site. There weren't any giant empty blocks or anything. On some sites you can tell ads are being blocked.
Whitelisted. I'm happy to see they're not in the way though. I've seen some forums with ads that are just obnoxious. They have some that use sound and play videos now...scared the crap out of me the first time because my sound was left on too high from something else, and it just started blasting. As long as there's never anything like that, and the ads stay the way they are, SP will forever be whitelisted for me from now on. My apologies for causing issues.

whitelisted but some of these ads that show up...
![]() http://tracking.singlesnet.com/redirect/...=421&ny=30 is one of them that showed up for me.

Only for you, Eos. But make sure you update us with the ad statistics in coming months so we can see if this actually improved anything.
