Then there's clearly some difference in the amount of titles you've mastered compared to my friend.

Oh god, thank you so much for the information about the recipes. I read your earlier post about them but didn't really get it because I put them in and they were only activating occasionally. Now I'm using > 10 seconds < 20 seconds recipes and getting ~15 eleth boost per battle.

Miso Oden is probably the best one for this, but you get Miso rather late in the game. It activates when you have 50% or more Energy in your Mixer, gives ~94 EXP and heals 94% HP, though it does cost 129 Energy.

Miso Oden = Oden + Miso
Oden = Daikon(Radish?) + Egg

The hit activated ones are pretty easy to get too if monsters aren't dying too fast.

For the Eleth Mixer

SlotsEXPCumulative EXP
430

6400580
710001580
820003580
950008580
101000018580
112000038580

You get 2 EXP for each Use item you generate, and 5 EXP for each material you generate inside it as well.

I just picked up some item called Water Goggles inside Oswell's Manor and I accidentally skipped what it said. They're not in my inventory and they came up in a large blue box indicating they were something special. Anyone know what this is?

Go into your stats menu, and you can scroll to the side to where your costume titles are to put them on. They're special costume equips. They're called Attachments in the Japanese games.

Oh right, like the watermelon. I only have 2 so far (these included) so that's why it didn't occur to me.

There's only three in the game. They rest are DLC. How far are you?

About to enter the Presidential Palace for the first time.

@JoeTang Did you play f or just the original Wii version?

EDIT: Apparently I don't know how to do the @person command things.

EDIT2: I hadn't messed with the difficulty at all until you guys mentioned it. I'm used to the other tales games, where each difficulty difference is stark but only for challenge/fun in New Game+'s and such. Everyone seems to be playing on Hard, so I gave it a shot. It's surprisingly manageable, and I like that fights last longer than 15 seconds now. However, this was shortly before getting to Wallbridge, so the boss there was a huge bastard (I was level 21) and I hadn't had the benefit of better drops/LP up to that point. Had to burn my All-divide to beat him, and there were still some deaths. What a jerk.

Wallbridge was probably the worst designed dungeon I've had the unfortunate pleasure of navigating in a while. I haven't had that much trouble with a dungeon design since that fortress in Eternal Sonata right after you get Viola (The name currently escapes me).

Some people don't have trouble with it, from what I've heard...but I was lost for a long time. I had to find a map.

The boss hits hard, so I can see why people had trouble with him on hard. Playing on normal, the first boss I had trouble with was the next major one. The Wallbridge one was too fast of a fight (for me at least) to be trouble, though.

How many freaking times do I need to use Lightning Strike before I get Lightning Strike Master?

edit: Jesus christ I just got it after 800 USES. What the pineapple.

The major boss in fendel... oh my god. What the pineapple is with the massive difficulty spike? That boss one shotted/one combo killed ANYONE in my party if he hit them while they weren't guarding. I had to use 12 life bottles to survive that fight, and the side enemies continuously randomly spawn even without the boss doing an animation for it. That guy was NOTHING like the other bosses so far. And from what I read on GFaqs and other websites, he's considered one of the hardest god damn bosses in the game. Well then!

When you get the Master titles for Artes, most of Asbel's Burst Artes have their 5th skill as an "Altered Arte"; for example, when you master it for Lightning Strike, and hold down Circle after, you'll perform Moonlight Circle, unless they've fixed that. It's supposed to activate Concussive Bolt, but they somehow screwed it up in the PS3 version.

Got a problem. I've managed to figure out all of the password chests up to this point but I just arrived in Lavhert and because my TV is shitty and this game is made for HD TVs, I can't read what most of the townspeople are saying. I know one of them must tell me the password but that does me no good.

It's the original name of Lavhert Tower. Help (in a spoiler) would be appreciated.

I'm in the Adult Arc now. (Didn't get to play any on Wednesday or yesterday)

I am loving the battle system now that I have access to Burst Artes.
