LOL Sarah. I'm not COMPLAINING about the system, so much, as I'm saying my Asbel in particular has like 30 titles and I only have 10 or so 5star'd. Completely overwhelmed! I do like the system itself though.

Mastering a title increases the effect it gives when you have it equipped (you can view the effects by pressing Square in the title menu).

@JoeTang They greatly reduced the amount of times you need to use an arte to get the title from the Wii version. It's more like 20 or 50 for the first one and 50 or 100 for the second one now. There are still some titles which require insane amounts of arte usage, but they're not as important. Nevermind it's still a ton of uses.

Every arte in the Wii version required 100 for the first title and 1000 for the second title. Now a lot of them were reduced, especially the 4 CC Assault Artes and higher end Burst Artes, but some of then are still that high.

Sarah Wrote:I'm really enjoying it so far but I'm kind of tired of running circles from Lhant, which is pretty much the first 15 hours of the game. I see this huge world map and I've been to like 3 cities.

 Spoiler

I feel the world map is misleadingly large, though it's still big. There's a significant portion of it that's plain inaccessible, which is a shame. Tales of Hearts at least let you land in random islands that you couldn't walk to by food and there were monsters on it, despite not being of any use.

Scaeva Wrote:The Judas one (the one for Richard) is pretty cool, but the Kyle one for Asbel and the Rutee one for Sophie aren't that great.

Genma Shoureppa was named Diabolical Rage. I don't think it really fits the arte.

It's stupid because Genma Shoureppa is an ice-styled arte that does Freeze damage. Diabolic. Rage. Ice. Yeah.

Justin Wrote:So much drama in this game, god damn. Just one tragedy or conflict after another. And Richard's a giant flaming douche. Just wanted to get that out there.

Also; TOO MANY TITLES. GOD DAMN. I tend to just 5star them and then move on. Does mastering a title have any actual benefits?

Sarah Wrote:HE'S SO FREAKING GAY. "He's so trusting... that's what I love about him."

Shut your plantain (yeah, that's what I said)! The titles system is pineappleing awesome.

Homolust. The Pre-order Collector's Edition or whatever for the original Japanese version had some handwritten letter and artwork of Asbel and Richard. They really milked it, and I would imagine it pushed quite a few more sales because there's a fanbase like that in Japan.

This just in (after letting Qik1 grind Diabolic Rage for 720 uses): Haddou Meppuu is Incineration Wave.

So. 60 Titles for Asbel maxed, 32 for Sophie, 80 for Cheria, 2 for Richard LOLOLOLO, and everyone else has about 50. Maxing Cheria, then Hubert, then Asbel, then Sophie.

Obviously you could tell that i'm a huge Cheria faggot.

Miniguide to medal rushing pre lv 60.

Floor 1~10 you can do some serious medal grinding there. Cheria was probably the best with AOE cooldowns and it was a snorefest, Hubert and Asbel do well here as well.

Any fast DPS character is good, though be careful with A arte Cheria, and Pascal they're gonna get smashed here (Unless you built them A arte, but who would do that? Hybrid-Pascal ftw anyway!

That's basically All I did pre lv 60. Anything after is a spoiler I suppose.

Is there a faster way to increase the Eleth Mixer's capacity for both items and Eleth, JoeTang?

Tired of watching it go up one at a time when there's a trophy for 9999

I'm in the process of translating it, but foods inside the Eleth Mixer give it EXP when they're activated, as well as obtaining items from it, but food is the best source.

http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/ToG_-_Recipes

The problem is I don't have an English copy so I can't get the English food names to double check, since some things have a tendency to change from JP->ENG. If someone could get the exact format for activation and healing, word for word from the game, that would be really helpful.

You get one energy at this rate

Current Energy+1
0~400Every 5 XP
~2000Every 10 EXP
~9000Every 20 EXP
~9999Every 40 EXP

I also just went to a friend's place to help him through the Japanese version a bit, since he's learning Japanese. We spent like an hour trying to beat the Wallbridge boss with him as Asbel and me as Pascal. Half the retries, I would get hit by a spell at the start and die immediately ~_~ The spells do so much damage unless you parry them completely, and you guys should know how well the AI is at doing that. And after the battle, we unlocked Evil difficulty lol. When I get my game back, I'm gonna do a Chaos run. I want to do that for Xillia too, but I can barely beat the final boss in the EX Dungeon on normal...
What level were you guys at Wallbridge, because he was ~23.

The wallbridge boss was no joke. I was level 22 I think, but I just kept his attention on me (doesn't always work out too well) after taking care of the grunts and parried whenever he casted a spell on me. interrupting him is difficult if only one person is swinging at him.... I have yet to die, but the spellcaster bosses in particularly seem to be the ones that hit like god damn trucks.

7 Levels is a huge difference in stats and SP T_T Pascal's first three spells aren't very good unless you have the skills to cast them faster, and her Assault Artes aren't good without Enflame, and I didn't have any of those T_T The only mastery skills I had were the stagger duration for Pyrogenic Ring, and the cast time for Spread, and like a damage bonus for Freezing Bloom. Literally died in one hit to any spell that I didn't block, and Richard did the same. Sophie had to be dedicated healer, but I think if I played as her instead and just used Apple Gummis, we would have been better off. The battle was easy after killing the two guards, but we only managed that once, where everyone was dead except Sophie, I switched to her, parried a hit and we went into Ereth Rise. I used a life bottle, and told my friend to Stampede Strike the last guard immediately, and we didn't take any more damage from there.

I'm assuming this is a return to wallbridge that you two are talking about?

No I think he's referring to the first visit. I'm in the desert area, haven't had any need to return to wallbridge. That boss WAS one the first actually difficult fights though.

return to wallbridge is when you

it.

Well the first time you "visit" the place, you don't really....VISIT it, no? You find a way around it... But I believe Sarah's already long past that part.

There's the ruins under Wallbridge, and then you
 Spoiler
though I though this was obvious.

Some more tips:
The Turtlez 20 Stamp reward is the Manuscript for faster map running speed. =D
There's a +3% SP Gain Manuscript in Wallbridge.
After you complete Wallbridge, there's an extra (complicated) area in the ruins you can access from a previously empty room located in the northern part of Wallbridge at the bottom floor (North of the Turtlez inside I think?). There's a Manuscript here that recovers 2 Energy for every 10 hits in a combo you perform in battle, as well as some other treasure. (Not that useful, but it's one of the few ways to recharge Energy without a shop)

If you're playing as a spellcasting character, using a few Assault Artes and linking it to a Burst Arte will reduce the cast time dramatically. This is one of the ways to make Sophie/Cheria heal faster, but AI can't utilize it well. Pascal benefits from it a lot since her Sudden Impact pulls monsters towards her, and her "tier 3" spells as I like to call them actually have the range to back up her Assault Style. Hubert also has a 4 close range spells that are uniquely good for this mechanic, though his Cryas Attack stat is abysmally low.

I've already done that but that boss was super easy and I was only like level 17 (even though I've been grinding like crazy)

Kind of confused why you'd be having trouble with it which is why I was doubting it's the same visit.

Hard Mode? Like I said, his spells OHKO Pascal and Richard.
