v.107 - Alliance Unbound Update Notes

I'm still amazed at how many bugs were solved and how much stuff was added in this patch. We haven't had a patch so full of content in a long while.

You know what they say... more content, more room for glitches.

But in all seriousness, it's really an impressive amount of additions. Let's hope it works out well.

Another cube system. I cannot express how incredible stupid I find this.

Well it certainly appears that they went all out with this NLC update. Love it or hate it, the dev fairies were busy indeed.

I'll reserve my opinion on sockets until the stats and availability is revealed, but I'm always looking for a damage boost fr my sexy Falcon bow.

Also stoked to be using my dojo glove soon.

It certainly sounds like they've removed a large part of Crimsonwood and possibly Phantom forest.
Certainly the Valley of Heros will no longer be there, since the Marker of Heroism quest is being removed.
Removing all those quests... that's so so so so wrong! I know some people wanted Big Bang applied to Masteria, but not like that These aren't Victoria Island's pointless quests

I didn't even see that. That was my favorite quest line in the game because it was so rewarding; the ability to easily navigate Masteria was so nice. And now they are removing that too. God dammit.

Good thing I don't play anymore, because if I did, I would quit here, even WITH the long awaited Evan revamp for blaze multitargeting.

Well that might not be the case. It might have been redone to work around it. But since Haunted House is far from NLC I don't see how it'll be affected. Either we walk there now or taxi is still there. I wouldn't be surprised if the CWK mountains are fixed to back to their glory days in the terms of training.

Pretty disappointed so far, I really hope the new cubes aren't going to be really expensive and/or give ridiculously overpowered boosts. I am praying to all the Gods that Masteria isn't completely ruined.

Can't wait to give my weapon its own materia slot.

Will wait for extractions to see if the single bullet point that denotes the entirity of the explorable Masteria update yields gold.

Is it just + Stats? or is it + %Stats.

Elements perhaps? (or would that be too broken)
Status effects are a given.

They seem to suggest skills and emotes like the potential system. That could be interesting.

How can they make NX if people refuse to risk blowing up their precious equips, thus not buying into their gimmick?

Well they did obviously. I can see most people are happy about a new cubing system to make their items better but still.
Is nobody else frustrated by this? I, myself find this patch horrible so far.

I hope you're right, but it sounds more like we're going to have CWKPQ all by itself with no context, JMS (?) style. All of Phantom Forest gone.

If they give insane bonus stats, then people will risk it and hopefully if this is the case, protection scrolls will work with them.
