What are you playing?
I bought Super Mario 3D Land today.

Visually impressive. Gameplay is boring as pomegranate.

Izzit normal to have an irrational fear of bulldromes when you first start out?

No. I'd be more worried if you didn't have a fear of the Bullfango/Bulldrome.

Are you serious? Those are the least scary monsters in the game.

'cause those things hurt. At least they do at this point in the game still getting used to camera controls.
>Killing 15 blangos, suddenly bulldrome outta nowhere

I'd rather say fear of being annoyed.

But when you're fighting them along with something like Nargacuga in the Old Jungle 8* Nekoht quest...

>Go to set up pitfall trap
>Bullfango charges you
>You land within range of a rage mode Nargacuga's tail slam

From there it's like a train wreck; It happens in a slow motion and you can't help but watch with a sense of impending doom.

So... SM3DL impressions...

At first, I was unhappy because it was so linear. It felt really... unadventurous. I was taken aback by how gorgeous the visuals are, though. The graphical style is superb and the 3D is fucking amazing. I hate NOT playing in 3D. And to top it off, I can play the game with the CPP attached even though it doesn't do anything for the game, making it an infinitely more comfortable experience.

I just finished SW1 and now I am having some real fun with the game. It gets infinitely better halfway through.

Finally playing through Mass Effect 2 on PC. I bought it during the Christmas sale 2 years ago and never really paid attention to it--god I'm stupid.

I beat it once on Veteran and I was thoroughly upset at how things ended up. Doing a new game+ run through on Hardcore to make sure I have a good import for ME3 (which I already bought) and to be the biggest womanizer on the Normandy (but I'm probably gonna end up with Tali anyway).

I pre-ordered Tales of Graces F, should get here the 15th or 16th. PUMPED.

I've been playing ToA on my 3DS, been making decent progress in small chunks. It really sucks playing through again without any AD skills. Seriously, I don't know how I did this pomegranate the last time LOL

As much as I want this game, I really can't buy it unless on loan. Considering my already large backlog, I'm just accepting that I will purchase it at a later time when I have the time. Something I really should have considered more often before I became 80 games behind... Oh well, personal progress I suppose.

Finding out that I could use my PS3 controller for PC games was a godsend. Renewed vitality for my Steam library of 120+ games (40 of which part of a genesis package). Sorry for being too lazy in this post to check who mentioned that in this thread earlier, but regardless thanks for the info. If I just had a sound card to connect to my receiver, there literally would be zero benefit for me to buy multiplatform games anywhere but PC.

Well, I bought Civ V today so we'll see how that goes.

Got the ICO/SotC collection for $15 today. Pretty cheap which makes me happy because ICO is like a 2 hour long game. No way I'm paying retail for that bullshit again.

There's only like 12 trophies, too.

Picked up Phantasy Star Portable yesterday.

Killing stuff with fire is still a valid option, I see.

Started playing Okami for the Wii. I got it a couple of months ago for my birthday and didn't have time to play it.

I really like it, it's pretty, funny and it plays a lot like a Zelda game with it's own unique twists.

The battle system is interesting, but it's a pain in the ass too, i find it impossible to combo my attacks. I swing the wii remote and it will attack once, then just stop. If i try to swing the remote straight after the first hit then my character becomes unable to attack, and i need to run around for a while until i can attack again.

It's really annoying that i can't work it out, but other than that the battle system is flawless and fun. I won't break any speed records without combos, but i don't really care.
Played for a good number of hours yesterday, and i haven't gotten very far. So much more left to do

Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves: Trying to get as far as possible before ToGF fun begins. Just got to the 3rd episode, but I fear that may be where I stop at for the time being.
