Masteria Preview?
PirateIzzy Wrote:Sorry to get off topic, but the person who posted the video has the wrong artist. Bad Boys is by Inner Circle, not Bob Marley.

I know but bob marley did a cover of that song.

OT: That portal looks a lot like a Stargate, please be a parallel universe and no a alternative future (not versal).

Chicocl Wrote:OT: this masteria update seems to be very out of place, they told us that they would do some changes to CWKPQ but still nothing and btw i would rather a Eos Npc than a MrBasil (or any lvl200 from here).

I'm sure that's simply Sigils working for other jobs, I don't expect much=/

On the other hand, L> Chinchilla scientist or overlord NPC Biggrin

Easy way to make "evil aliens" fresh?

Go into space to fight them. Zero G physics optional... but it would make for an interesting jump quest...

Alien invasion isn't exactly fresh, but a future ruined by aliens having taken over the world could be. Yeah, it's just combining two things we've already had, ruined future and alien invasion, but combining it in that way could make for something interesting regardless.

Nexon surely seems to love aliens.

Wait.

Are we sure they aren't...

So firstly, let's sum this up: We have a small banner picturing New Leaf City in ruins (destroyed Affulent Tower and Statue of Mushroomity) with a structure having the same design as Dr Krakia's cybernetic turkey eye inplant, posted on one of the biggest MS forums.
Yet people blurt out stuff about the Visitor event (I do not say they are not reusing it, just that nothing points to it), and that aliens are overused and boring. Then we have the darndest thing of all, some people deem the whole update trash just because Nexon choose to hype it through Basil. It is not like they have anything to do with the actual content or anything. Would you have them usign a smaller forum just because? It would be poor marketing at best to not pick the channel with most heads at the reciving end.

I would not be surprised if the update did not meet the high quality standard of the rest of NLC, but we have absolutely nothing to base that on yet. I know how people hate the Visitor event and all that, but except a few flaws it was the most advanced and intriguing event ever to be in any MS version, so it is still pretty much in Nexons favor all in all. Besides, nothing says the work Prose and his team did just ended at CWKPQ, they might have left scripts and art that Nexon simply put in the archives til now. They have been following KMS updates at a furious speed after all, not much time to launch their own content.

And Chicocl. Bob Marley died in 1981. Inner Circle released Bad Boys in 1987. No cover was made.

People are going to complain about hyping it through a fansite regardless of which one they would pick. If it were here all anyone would b'itch about is how all the scrubs from everywhere else would come here and make SP a more annoying place to post.

If by advanced you mean as far as new systems and features that we haven't seen the developers experiment with on such a scale since CWKPQ, then i agree. It doesn't really mean much past memorable content unless they experiment like that again with this area in a way that makes it a success though and i think that's all any of us really hope for as far as an update that benefits us as players. Assuming it's an actual expansion that is, but given that image it's hard to imagine this as anything other than either a revamp where the grandmasters have attacked NLC and left it in ruins or a future area type thing. Just my opinion though.

All i care about is a boss. That's it. A boss or bosses is the absolute minimum for what the high level community needs at this point imo. We don't really have anything left to fight anymore and there's obviously nothing good coming from KMS anytime soon, so this is their chance to really make something fun. New items are cool and all but it doesn't leave much of a lasting effect as far as something to log in for is concerned.

Razmos Wrote:I think it's quite clear in my mind from looking at this that the Visitors are sending US a distress signal, asking for our help. they came from a ruined future right? that ruined future is in that picture and we'll probably be fighting whatever it is thats forcing them to travel back through time.

So while the event may have visitors returning, they may not be the enemy as we are expecting. Nexon might be able to pull something good out of their asses on this one, we'll just have to see.

future wasn't in ruins actually, afaik we went into the future and stole the future's source of power (crystanol), which made the future rot, so mr bing from the future recruited us to go to the past, and prevent bing from going to the future to steal the crystanol in the first place.

also, bottom left to sleepywood, bottom right to southperry, mark my words (not really lol.)

That would be extremely amusing to see. We'd have what, a chinchilla?

I'm surpised nobody has mentioned that the "bit of tech" in the center looks like an afterburner from an alien jet/spaceship.

Crack-pot Theory #1: Grandmasters have grown in strength (CWKPQ revamp) and have launched their assault on NLC (damaged structures). Meanwhile, previously-defeated Dr. Bing teams up with Professor Foxwit, and the duo succeed in getting aliens from the future to help fight off the Grandmasters.

Crack-pot Theory #2: Intergalactic slugs have appeared in the skies above Future NLC and have start to invade. Dr. Bing and Professor Foxwit have teamed up and developed time-travel tech in the future. They use said tech to travel back in time to send a distress signal to present-day Maplers. The salt reserves in the future are running low, so they need our help to establish salt mines in the present (thus increasing the reserves in the future). The salt mines will be dug underneath and around Bigger Ben since it is near an ocean.

You just earned a "Yes" in the "Has posted some pretty crack-pot theories" reputation option. Smile

Nice ones, nonetheless.

Thank you everyone who participated in the Create Your Own Mechanic Outfit event. This event was harder to judge than last month's Maple Calendar! Your creativity and eye for fashion really shined through in each outfit. After a long deliberation, we chose the following winners. It broke my heart to see the other great submissions not get recognized so we have runner ups. Check back with us at a later time and your designs may appear in the Cash Shop.
well atleast they said who was the winner not like the create your event contest
