How was your day?

GAH FRUSTRATION.

So I ordered a pair of Lacoste rain boots from a UK-based eBay seller back on February 13th. They shipped them the next day, got my lovely Royal Mail tracking number and everything, and was told via tracking that they had landed at JFK in NYC and were being prepped for delivery on the 14th. The estimated delivery window here in Madison was February 17th - February 23rd.

It is now March 5th and I still have yet to receive the package. To make matters worse, Royal Mail has been unbelievably difficult for me to contact overseas, which I'd like to do given the tracking information actually only covered the transatlantic journey, and thus I have no information about which US carrier would even have the item now, much less tracking information for it.

It's just especially frustrating given the wet weather as of late and rain on the horizon. I WANT MY BOOTS DAMMIT.

Working late tonight, not really in the mood but I need the comp time -_-

Today got progressively worse...

Highlight of my day: earthquake and aftershock that woke me up at 5:30am. Stuff fell here and there.

Seriously, that's as GOOD as it gets.

Today was a great day for me. I came home to see an old friend on skype I haven't spoke with for like 3 years now. I met him in 2002, played generals with him and got him to maplestory. He became one of the best bm's before quitting but he actually messaged me wanting to tell me how much I did for him back then. We didn't see eye to eye and grew distant but..if we didn't establish that friendship he wouldn't be engaged right now. So I guess that void that I feel, kind of closing as I made such an impact on someones life, a good one. Gonna prob talk to him tomorrow to get the whole story, but to think he went looking for me to tell me that meant a lot lol

I've lost 19lbs in two weeks. Food and I are no longer going to be friends it seems. Sleep either for that matter.

Good day so far. Purim celebrations at kids' schools today. Son went as Link (specifically the young Link from Ocarina of Time, he emphasizes), daughter was some kind of gypsy. Amazingly, there was no rain.

It's in the 50s for the rest of the week so I am sooooo happy! Also, might be seeing Kimbra and Gotye in April then Marina and the Diamonds is opening for Coldplay's tour this summer so I want to get tickets for that too :$
