So we finally have some confirmation on why it all happened. Seems like it really was some few people being offended by it that made it get changed.
I can see the witch-hunt for those people that started it getting stronger now. I'm pretty okay with it though, I don't mind if the name Derpy Hooves stay fandom only.

Anyone else reminded of that Spongebob episode when Plankton tries to make Spongebob be assertive to make some profit? The background music at the end even sound similar from "Krusty Krab Training Video".

It does remind me of that Spongebob episode too! The BGM at the end is totally based off of Eye of the Tiger, which I believe the BGM in the "Krusty Krab Training Video was also based off of.

Wow, this was just so good. So many kewl stuff to mention!
-Moar Angel! I missed him.
-Pinkie Pie + Rarity, my two favorite ponies together! Loved all the interaction they had. Perhaps they bonded on the way back after The Last Roundup?
-That Bugs Bunny reference with Pinkie.
-Flutterpeach is back!
-Iron Will is best monster, I mean Minotaur... Really, he was very well written.
-Fluttershy being mean to Pinkie Pie and Rarity at a personal level was HARSH.
-Very good lesson there, loved how Fluttershy was able to be assertive without being mean at the end.
-Iron Will has a cute basket, accepts reasonable arguments and leaves peacefully.
-Iron Will is Johnny Bravo, I love his poses and catchphrases.

-WHY FLY WHEN YOU CAN MAKE 'EM DIE! Seriously, why didn't she fly over the carts at the bridge?

Pretty good episode overall, it can shut up all those Merriwether haters finally.

Let me tell you, I REALLY LOVE AND ENJOY this episode; seeing "New Fluttershy" being such a jerk to everyone and speaking in one-liners is awesome, Iron Will is awesome, although I would like to see more of him, every single moment was hilarious. But the way this plot is written, is really terrible and VERY predictable. Then again, I can't think of making something original from it.

Why is everyone such a jerk in this episode? Purposely cutting lines, merchants being greedy and mean to Fluttershy (that one guy let that pony spend 2 bits for that cherry and yet Fluttershy has to pay 10???), and not letting Fluttershy pass through (I don't know why she didn't just fly over but okay). I know Fluttershy's a timid and easy pushover, but really, the way it sets up for Fluttershy's stage 1 of assertive felt so forced and unpleasant.

Oh, and Fluttershy's standing up, being assertive and rude, she learns that she's corrupted and in the end, she tries to be nice again. How original. At least she learned something, but just like Dragonshy & Stare Master, that will soon be forgotten.

Regardless of some flaws I find irritating, this episode rocks. The Stare & Mr. Greenhooves continuity was good.

Pretty good episode overall, it can shut up all those Merriwether haters finally.

I agree, the transitions were brutal and with no explanation or construction, the town was OOC just so the story worked. It was pointed out that it's characteristic of a Merriwether episode, it seems to be true. Nonetheless the episode was enjoyable and I'm willing to overlook the slightly OOC town and fast transitions in favor of the excellent writing of Iron Will and how awesome everything else was.

 Episode 19 Putting Your Hoof Down

Sorry, no super long commentary from me. Too much Homestuck today pushed most of what I remembered about the show clear out the window,

Twas a pretty fun episode to watch. Although I gotta agree that the only thing that bugged me about the episode was character development was made at a sacrifice of the whole town acting unusually snobbish. However, it make for some REALLY wacky moments of Fluttershy being extremely assertive. Fluttershy completely trashing Rarity and Pinkie Pie's specialties was just harsh. Iron Will wasn't that bad of a character at all, I kinda expected him to have some superiority complex, but turns out he was a very reasonably fellow. That being said, I'd give the episode an easy 4/5, although I'm sure haters would subtract up to 2 points or more because it's a Merriweather episode.
