Got accepted to Nexon focus group 2/21 <-- Note This Is In The Past

Anyone who would want that system would pay for it pretty much no questions asked.
Yeah, don't they already charge for other things in the Cash Shop, where the ONLY possible function of the cash item would be to protect your stuff if your account is infiltrated maliciously? "I wanted to protect myself from accidentally dropping my zhelm!" No... they knew people were getting "hacked" and they made the item locks as a "security" against them.

The verification system shouldn't be a paid feature though, or if it is, it should be a low one-time expense. Do they charge for it on kMS?

And no, I don't think it would take much more time. Not much more time than it takes to hunt for characters on the software keyboard to input the PIC. The code needn't even be very long, either. If it was just four to five characters long and temporarily locked the IP address out after four or five failed attempts, I think that would be fine. They could even be extra safe and say 6 characters long and lock IP after only 3 failed attempts.

KMS doesn't have authenticators. SEA does.

Yes it does. But they're optional.

Of course they're optional but in that case it should be easier to get them here.

They've had the text message verification system for a long time o.o

All they need is the ability to remove deletion of a character, item guards are already in-tact keeping items safe. Either pay NX for this simple little thing or have it accessed through email or something and have it tedious to uncheck/check. Dedicated players would do this to protect themselves, hackers not so much. Could have to go through 2-5 emails for it to go through aha

After this little check is made, who cares if a hacker has access. Can't do anything that's potentially damaging unless they ruin your "Rep' with guilds, buddies or whoever.

I would pay handsomely for WoW-esque ones.

Although, with all of my accounts.... I would need a keychain of sorts.... .____.

You've completely overlooked the lack of a way to prevent an intruder from spending your NX.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

?
I remember seeing screenshots from KMS with duped items :f6:

I overlooked that since I spend all my NX usually before I log off, makes me feel safer knowing I have no NX in my accnt.

Hmm, guess we'll need authenticators after-all to prevent the hacking or another ability to disable NX purchases when logged off. Another check perhaps. Only problem I see with the check system I have in mind is if the hackers can un-check it. I would enjoy this checking system to communicate via a cellphone instead of emails. Text Yes to disable functions then No to enable them daily, without a daily text access to account is non-existent Big Grin

Only downfall to that is if you lose your cellphone or don't have one. Anybody like this idea?

Anything to do with cellphones is flawed when it comes to people that are not in the US. A international text message everyday would be expensive for both parties.

Ah yes, forgot GMS isn't focused on America alone. Damn other peopleRolleyes Could re-work the system for it to be email as well, then that puts the emphasis on your email security rather then MS security which could be worse if you use this email for other things. Guess authenticator are the second best thing next to this. Pretty much branched off the idea of authenticators anyways

Then why does everything cost far more in gms? I had 400m on my bishop in windia ever since I quit (back when genesis30 was 500m, right before big bang) and right about now I don't think I could buy any useful equips because 400m is chump change.

Eh, duping =/= massive duping.
I am completely and utterly sure that i have seen stuff that was duped and been told by KMS'ers that dupes do exist and they do happen.

Dupes actually lower the value of stuff, GMS has extreme inflation due to excessive amounts of mesos, not items. And also the favoring of NX as currency instead of mesos because of the MTS.

More meso exploits than KMS has ever seen, MTS inflating the NX:meso ratio, etc etc. Both versions have meso sinks but while in KMS it helps keep things the way they've always been, in GMS it only attempts to make things the way they used to be, rather than actually being effective.

Sorry Steve, but they are right.
Higher supply equals lower price.
And duping has happened in KMS, it just isn't as obvious as it is in GMS.

I never said there was no duping. I just said we don't have the issue of duping. Meaning we don't have duping widespread.

But yeah, I guess the meso exploits would be the more prominent issue.

Because they're not flooding the entire first 5 channels of the FM with their warez.
That, and the fact that most equip/scroll dupes are dealt with, so you don't really see 250 attack pomegranate with 15 stars or massive stacks of protect scrolls in multiple shops right next to each other.

Unless they're all hiding in CH20.

This is really just saving face.
Any duping is an issue.
