Now that development for Terraria has ended and they're beginning to hype Starbound (Terraria 2.0 for all intents and purposes), are you feeling the hype?

I've been in the live chat there for the past few hours.

Can't wait for their official forums to open up.

The game certainly do seem interesting. And unlike terraria or minecraft, there arent afraid of giving some history or at least a clear objective which i like.

I'm Spadow and I approve this game.

Looking at those features, i dare say i may twist some arms around my house to get the game as soon as possible.

I will probably try this game. I was a server hoster for all my friends in regards to Minecraft and Terraria, so why stop there? I'm sure they'll need me for Starbound too.

Yeah, I'll definitely host the SP Server again once the program and stuff gets released.
People didn't seem to have any problems with me hosting the Terraria one, even with my interwebs randomly going out due to a bad connector.

I had a discussion with my RL friend about Starbound and we started to theorize that they might be trying to implement stuff they originally had plans for in Terraria.
Example, Multiple planets / worlds in Terraria, which will be happening in Starbound. Unfortunately, the entire "Upcoming Features" list on the Terraria Wiki was deleted, so we can't check for other possible implementations

Holy hell, I just read the Indie Game Magazine article and this seems like I'll sink so much more time into this than what I did with Terraria. It'll be fun exploring planets and such.

I hope they really release a video soon. I want to see it sooo sooo bad.

I wonder how illumination will work in this one... One thing i got annoyed in terraria is how you could see anything will a wall in the way with some little illumination, even outside illumination would show whats inside of the wall.

I'm kind of interested in this game. I'll look into it, but I'm not sure if I'll get around to playing it.

Unless my friend decides he wants me to play and pays for it like he did with Terraria (which is highly likely), I probably won't actually be touching this game. It looks really neat, though. It looks far more engaging than Terraria was.

Only Tiy was part of the Terraria team though, unless I'm mistaken.

I remember when he was tweeting that he was looking for some artists and stuff for ''his project'', but that to be clear it would be separate from Terraria. I could be mistaken though.

Yeah it's definitely separate from Terraria. It's just a similar concept to the L4D2 scenario.
