In light of recent events

So, i started my day a bit easy by coming to SP to check the extractions before i got going on my daily work for school, and i find that nexon shut down fiel's operation. Needless to say, i was pissed off.

So, i come to the general forum, and see that they have made the game even more childish, i was reminded of how they took advantage of veterans day, about how they have NX events on so people will buy more. I also learn that the first thing they have on the events banner for November is something to buy NX. I see that they have the levelup gachapon (Just in time for pirates, when everyone is jumping the gun to level fast).


So Southperry, i ask you; Just how pissed off are you right now over the ordeal.

Personally, i was planning on possibly buying NX this week, but i think ill just use MTS for that now. And yes, i hope they read this. For all i care, Nexon can rot in the Sahara. I also encourage them to read my post in Fiel's thread about the site staying up.

I'm very very disappointed of NEXON, that's all I need to say.

Also I feel I should point out that if the gacha exp system we're getting is the same one that was in (CMS?), then its just a chance at getting exp scrolls out of the gachapon, its not going to speed up anyones leveling too drastically.

Also, there are kids on GMS (you know, the ones this game is targeted for) that can afford to spend hundreds of dollars to do that, because they dont work for their money. Sure, you and I may not use it, but some little kid will.

Oh well, it can only be used by people under level 50, and if someone wants to buy their way to level 50 then they arent going to move with the difficulty slope of the game and will soon find grinding to be very suckish.

Well, what im thinking will happen (and what nexon intended) was for someone that has some 3rd/4th job characters and wants to experience the pirates ASAP. Someone that can afford to spend the money will, playing right into Nexon's hand.

Sure, its not going to bring in a WHOLE lot of NX, but its just one more thing i guess.

Quite honestly - it's completely ridiculous. I've always tried to look at the good things that Nexon does... tried to stay on their side throughout the years, despite all the Nexon haters. But this has no excuse.

I'm done with Nexon. For the first time, I think I'll actually not buy NX. Hell, I may not even play the game for awhile. Christmas season is here, and theres a bunch of wonderful games to play - computer and console.

I would be bummed out if I still actively played this game. I'm back a little for Pirates, but my sincere apologies to all those who are affected.

MTS won't work if nobody's buying NX for it anymore. Due to the extreme taxes, it disappears very quickly (10 transactions = $1) and without a steady inflow of NX, the MTS will dry up and everyone will have to use the FM again.


I don't expect to be the strongest Thief, without NX, but it still beats being a warrior without detailed monster information. Hopefully I can trickle off enough MTS to get some extra inventory space.

Anyway - like I just said, Nexon has definately lost me as a customer, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Here's to Fiel - for staying diligent, and hoping that Nexon will one day come to terms and allow you to post the information that us Maplers look forward to seeing every time theres a patch.

I find it funny that Nexon stops Fiel's extractions, and they try to make a topic in their own forums regarding new patches as a substitution to Fiel's extractions. Their patch topic is short, useless, vague, and disappointing.

ToS never said that. A GM or two said it at one point in the game (I saw a screenshot of that), and it may have been posted on their forum at some time, but I don't know.

Regarding Nexon's actions yesterday, it's saddening but I expected it. I see the logical progression of their efforts.

1. Fairly amicable phone call, no threats made.
   
2. Non-friendly phone call, ultimatum issued and refused.
   
3. Notice given to server hosting company. At that point, if Fiel hadn't complied, the host would have shut him down.
   

I do hope that he has been compliant enough with their "requests" to avoid any civil or legal trouble. I like this site and its community, and I would hate to see it suddenly go away.

in the opinion of a 20 year old, changing text from a monotone color to a different color for each letter, differentiating the lines on which different letters are written (making it uneven), and making the font bubbly is kiddy marketing. not 13+, which is supposed to be the targeted audience, but 6-12. when you really are a kiddy, and not some emo teenager looking for a throwback to 10 years ago (wtp?).

Thats kinda what i thought. Personally i liked it best when you clicked, and the game loaded to the login screen without needing anything more.

I guess im confused with nexon. they put some mature content in the game (Did anyone else catch the Prince of Whales? not something a 10 year old is going to know probably), yet they do stuff like that, and the word filter is almost rated G.

But hey, what're we gunna do?
