Off-topic: Anyone know what this anime is, not sure what year but probably nothing older than 4-5 years ago

"Boy + girl anime where the girl is a closet otaku and only the boy knows (if not only him, then very few people). Girl wears glasses iirc and has brownish long hair. There's a lot of shakugan no shana references"

She doesn't wear glasses, but that describes Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu otherwise.

In regards to that anime though, i think Fools might be right, searched for around 15 minutes and found this on Tvtropes:
"Closet otaku Haruka Nogizaka in Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu dresses up as Shana from Shakugan no Shana in one episode and gleefully recites the character's Catchphrase. Though otherwise she isn't prone to cosplay due to the fact that she hides her love of anime from her peers."

Yeah, thats the anime that comes to my mind. It was pretty good in my opinion, definitely had its moments. Theres apparently a third season on its way as well.

It has some nostalgia value for me, but if I were to go back and rewatch it, I would probably rate it pretty low. Season 2 was bad in my opinion.

Nisemonogatari 7: I don't like Koyomi's lectures. Big brother cleaning up after his sisters: cool, makes sense, well told. But what's the other crap? Still, he's nothing compared to Kaiki. I must admit I would have appreciated him getting beaten up, shonen style.

Yeah, "on its way", It was announced in July of last year, and we don't have so much as even a month when it will air. As you can see, I'm looking forward to it, lol.

The first season of Nogizaka Haruka was really good, IMO. Then the second season just kinda dragged on, but it was still fairly enjoyable.

Completely forgot Nisemonogatari aired already, so I gotta DL it so I can watch it. c:

Another Episode 7: Okay episode, some more info and lays down the rest of the plot for the series. Preview looks like filler.

Can someone help me understand/clarify exactly how all the 'rules' work?

- When it started 26 years ago, there were X desks but X+1 kids for the class, which no one could figure out why
- Some times the calamity doesn't happen, but once it starts, it finishes except for that 1 year that his mom was in
- The calamity has a 50% chance of occurring if they pretend a student doesn't exist. Otherwise it will happen 100%
- Every year no matter what, there is always X+1 students for the class because a "dead" student inserts themselves into the class
- The school records show X+1 students enrolled in the class but later they mysteriously change to X students
- The "dead" student is listed as "deceased" once the records are updated. Prior to that, they are mixed into the regular roster
- Students that die that year from the calamity are crossed out in red

The school records part is the thing I need clarified the most.

Another 07: I'm probably slow in realising this, but does anyone else (here and in the show included) not find it strange that his mom was 15 when she gave birth to him?

It looks like another ship is heading towards Earth, wonder how that is gonna turn out.

Didn't realize it either but i don't think her getting pregnant at 15 has anything to do with the plot. Age 15 to have a baby is quite young but it does happen, although rarely. I watched "Kore ga Watashi no Goshujin-sama" last week and the mom in that anime gave birth to her daughter at 16.

Since that's the year the calamity stopped midyear, maybe her giving birth introduced a +1 and counter-acted the calamity. When we get closer to august, watch him say his birthday is coming up and it happens to be around august 8-10th. If anyone remembers, did his mom die from childbirth?

It's implied, but everyone has been dodgey about the details of it.

It was rather obvious, she was shown being naked in her home what.. 2, 3.. 4 times? I can't help but love this show more and more each episode. If it wasn't for Nisemonogatari airing this season too, it'd easily be my favorite show of the season.

Also, Steins;Gate special (22nd) and Sora no Otoshimono movie (24th) released this week! Can't wait.

Mirai Nikki episode 19: Holy crap that was awesome. Compare Yukiteru at the start of the series to the Yukiteru in this episode:

Seriously awesome. the animation in this episode was the best i've seen all series, Yuno's murderin' just looked amazing and the plot twists and revelations worked a lot better in anime form than manga form. After seeing this episode my faith in this series is restored, and i am genuinely excited to see how the ending plays out.

Another episode 7: The teacher killing himself at the start was the most horrific thing i've seen on TV period. Oh holy crap, it lasted way too long, was too messy and too realistic, nothing like the standard TV deaths i'm used to.

The melting nightmare was also as creepy as hell. I wasn't expecting this series to be so genuinely creepy, it just seemed very atmospheric at the start. My faith in this series is restored too, it was starting to lose my interest a little bit.

Next episode: Beach Episode! lolwut.

I guess I should finally catch up on Mirai Nikki then. I just kinda stalled watching it after episode 12.

Steins;Gate: Oukoubakko no Poriomania - I didn't think it was possible to like this show even more. But dear god, this special sure made me like it even more. Such an amazing ending. I jumped out of my chair when she said "Close your eyes" then ED.

Mahou Sensei Negima! Anime Final - Oh dear god what.. what did SHAFT do to this wonderful series? Why was it so necessary for them to take 90% of established canon in the manga, and throw it out of the window like it was never there?

Here's to hoping the Sora no Otoshimono movie doesn't take too long to get subbed.
