Since I moved to windia I could finish my gun with some 20% I had there ^_^

Started Epic
3 cubes to unique
1 to legendary
4 to 70% boss

Im Happy now.

How does one aim with that gun?

Nice weapon though.

I'll say this again.
ATK doesn't mean pomegranate in PvP. Battle ATK is all that matters. Have a decent amount of that and you'll always beat people with hacked weapons.

This is incorrect.

Well I know ATK still offers a small boost to PvP, but Battle ATK will greatly outweigh the difference.

Battle Attack is just another form of %attack.

Sure about that? From what I read, and through extractions, Battle Attack gives +X% PvP Damage.
Unless that's what you meant, then I'm derp at reading.

%attack=%damage, give or take some rounding.

% attack and % damage are NOT the same thing.

...what.
3%attack does the same as 3%damage.
It's been common knowledge for quite a while.
I'm busy at the moment, and I basil unfortunately automatically deleted all of the times I've PM'd someone who didn't believe it, it was too long ago.
The math takes too long to do by hand for me right now, let me see if I can find a thread on it.

yes it is, at least outside of pvp, dunno if the formula is different in pvp or something.

i still have my humongous copy pasta somewhere i think, i'm pretty much the one that destroyed the %dmg>%atk argument in basil.

Isn't %dmg > or = %atk but in general it's '=' ?

depends, in a perfect scenario without rounding, they are exactly the same, in maplestory, since attack always gets rounded down (so if you have 6% and the result is 130.9attk, it would be 130 attk)means %damage will have a maximum of 0.999...attk increase over %attk.

but then there's buffs and stuff that tip the scale one way or another, dark aura being %attack means it stacks additively with % attack while multiplicatively with %dmg/boss, and %attack stacks multiplicatively with %boss while dmg is additive.

that's pretty much it in a nutshell.

I thought the difference was SO FREAKING MINIMAL that it really didn't matter?

In general, it's something like a rounding error.
One of them slightly edges out the other by a couple points of damage, I forget.

on attack vs damage, yes, if you go into skills and whatnot, difference is a bit bigger, but still meh, we could take it to Q&A or discussion or mechanics if you want, dunno which would be appropiate.

achievement:

yesterday: boomed a CHTP with the second epic pot scroll QQ

today: sold my 11 attk 6 slot 2L empress glove for 1.3M will try to get a CHTP tomorrow.

Wait what? So you're saying that the potential line 3% attack is the same as 3% damage? That makes no sense. adding 3% more of your total attack stat should not be the equivalent of 3% damage added onto your range. Or is it one of those "lost in translation" kinda things? Why would they be two seperate lines if they do essentially the same thing?

pretty sure %atk just boosts how much atk you have and %dmg increases ur range by that % Rolleyes

yes, and in the end they have the same effect.

it's exactly what i'm saying, mind making the thread in whatever forum's appropriate?

in short, the formula for damage is one huge multiplication, which makes both bonuses do the same thing to your damage in the end.

but seriously, if you want me to explain in more detail, tell me where to make the thread/make it yourself.

Assuming 300 attack, 4000 primary, 200 secondary and 1.3 multiplier.
9% attack:
1.3(4*4000+200)*(300*1.09)/100 = 68866

9% total damage:
1.3(4*4000+200)*300/100 = 63180 * 1.09 = 68866

there.
Shut up now about it.
