Just logged onto one of my mule accounts and I find it stripped. Of mesos. Harhar, the account had nothing valuable on it anyway. Untradeables and 35k...Maple Points. Ahahaha. The only thing I can recall them taking is a 5 Attack Maple Gage and they threw a potential scroll on my Evolving Belt...? :f6:

Still, I find it rather peculiar that it took THIS long for it to get hacked. I set a rather LOLEASY password, but a jibberish PIC. Not trying to prove/disprove anything, but it does seem like they can just bypass PIC's. Sorry if I'm late to that party.

And I recently wiped my entire laptop clean.

My brother just got hacked.. This cannot be a keylogger for the simple fact we use the same computer, and my nightlord has x10 the value of his items... Its funny though, the hacker left his 113 Attack VL Claw but took his 27 att Nox Glove, they actually traded the NX to the account?.. (My brother was lucky also... Forgot to upgrade his evo3 to tradeable lmao)

I've sent a ticket on behalf of my brother, but I'm not expecting Nexon to do anything.. I'm 99% certain this is on Nexon side seeing how my account wasn't affected..

P.S He was hacked on the 7th of february, he just hasnt logged in until today.

It was just pineappleing weird... Only my main on El Nido was logged into, all of my other characters were completely untouched. All of my mules still had daily gear giveaway NX that would have expired instantly had someone logged into them to check their inventories. I checked the ones that didn't have NX equipped on the character selection screen and they all had old event quests expiring upon logging in, so they were pretty obviously untouched as well.

Of the items I've been able to notice missing are my workglove, earrings, a pink adventurer cape, evo ring 1, pink zakum chair, and 4 mystery mastery books. Evo ring 2 and 3 were unequipped when I logged on, but they didn't bother taking them. They also left behind earrings with weapon attack and almost all of the rest of my equipped stuff. I have piles of various things left in my inventory that, in total, are worth well more than the amount of pure mesos I had, even if sold at a price well below current market values.

Additionally, I had more daily gear giveaway crap stored in cash shop on my main that disappeared upon checking my NX, so they didn't even notice they could've easily scissor'd my chaos zakum helm and took that too.

I think it's more along the lines of they were looking for particular items. When i got hacked there were a few questionable items left on my account too. They don't seem to be stripping them bare.

to top it off theres hackers on the hack-ee's acct smegaing all day in scania "#-# gogogogogo" (locations of the crap they sell uber cheap on their accts)

My Bowmaster got hacked between today and last Monday.

Lost my 40 stat 6% dex overall (nothing really)
6% Dex VSS (nothing anymore)
and my perfectly scrolled Unique VIP Bow.

So even constantly changing password is a no-go? I'm getting really paranoid since last year and I refuse to log off unless I absolutely have to (aka the server crashes and checks). I hate doing this, even though most of my stuff now is untradable..
I have to go off for a few days without my laptop. Would it be better to shut access off via Hotspot Shield or keep it going on like I usually do?

That keysmash btw is practically my passwords now.

Unfortunately there is no gurranteed protection besides the glitch of the hotspot shield. It's great to have long passwords but it won;t make a difference when the password is written down and stolen.

Safest thing to do right now is to get yourself autobanned, second best would be to lock the account with the Hotspot Shield method I guess. I've been staying logged in all the time, had 'You have logged on from another location' pop up on the Nexon website three times now, which would indicate somewhere someone has my password (it's been changed every single time) and is trying to get into my account. It feels pretty hopeless, to be honest. I'm on the brink of just giving up.

I found a youtube video(probably not allowed to be posted) of a guy.
1. He logged into his account and showed his characters on the character selection screen
2. He returned to world selection, then sent a "Receive" packet
3. upon selecting the same world again, it showed completely different characters(although they were his aswell.)
I tried to replicate this myself.

Sent the same recv packet.
And lo and behold, all of his characters showed up on my character select instead of mine.
I couldnt log in to any one of them however because it said something about "PIC must be created, please create PIC and try again."
