Nope not playing. I love MS1 too much to just abandon it. Regardless of what pomegranate hackers have done to it I still love it. I keep to myself and keep out of the hackers business and have a wonderful time. Game goes down for Server "stability issues" doesn't bother me I just shrug it off and do something else. In the end I won't be playing MS2. MS2 isn't MS to me and it won't be. They should finish MS1 before they worked on a "sequel" as they call it. Even if it has NOTHING to do with the original MS they still shouldn't be rushing to push it out.

I'll play it to say I actually tried. Who knows? Maybe it'll actually be fun.

If they make it 2.5D, I might just play if only because I miss RO.

I'll try it, purely because I'm curious how it plays and everything, but I doubt I'll like it anywhere near as much as MS1.

I will try it, but if it's a point and click, I will not try it. I hate point and click. I hope it works better with a controller more specifically.

Although that screenshot disappoints me like a gameplay video I saw for the recent Ragnarok Online 2 Beta, I'll still try MS2...but I don't expect much. Both RO2 and MS2 look way too generic.

They should have just given us high grade 2D graphics(Akin to what you see in games like Odin Sphere, those 2D graphics are amazing), and upped the engine to something current.

Like any intelligent person I've quit Maple, but I might try MS2. I think Maple was extremely tiring partly due to the fact that it was 2D, so most of what you're doing is:

Start at one side of the screen
Push mobs to the other side and kill them
Move to another platform
Repeat

I'll have to see more before I make a final decision though.

In the old days, it was mostly 1v1ing singular mobs in a stupidly huge map; this is why sins really thrived in KSing back then. During this time, a monster's abilities and spells actually made them difficult rather than just annoying like it is today. I guess that's one of the arguments of Old MS > New MS.

If MS2 is more like it was in the old days and not mindlessly mobbing 6-8 sprites to death over and over again with relative ease, it'll definitely be a step up... but at the cost of losing the 2-D charm ;/.

I'll log on, save a bunch of one word igns, then sell them for hundreds of dollars 5 years later if the game goes big.
Honestly, the chibi maple look just doesn't work in 3d, which makes it a major turn off.

That's because there are no videos of MapleStory 2.
The game you're referring to is EverPlanet and is the most boring game that exist.

All you do is search for quests and complete them. That combined with combat.

Hmm, looks interesting. For the ranger at least it seems they tried to keep skills intact. I could distinctly see Inferno and possibly Strafe in there.

EDIT: Wait what the pineapple that ISN'T MS2? That is the most blatant ripoff I've ever seen, unless it came before MS1, in which case my view of Maple just changed forever.

EDIT2: Wait EverPlanet is published by Nexon? Might as well slap an MS2 sticker on it and call it a day Rolleyes

Not sure if i'll try it. The reason I was attracted to Maple in the first place was because it was 2D.
