Why the Secret Spell Scroll system would have never worked.

You try to explain that to a room of monkeys.

Most likely hesitating due to the amount of players buying NX to get those tempting duped equips/SSS.

There's been quite a few threads on basil with players asking whether or not they'll get banned using 10/25k NX for MTS.

If they made CS items tradeable, then we'd have hackers duping stacks of cubes.
Not much better.

Leave cubes as it is?

In a perfect world maybe.
Either
1. Nexon NA will keep mts as is.
or
2. We'll get copypastaed KMS system where you can trade CS items in stores/trade (not likely)
There's a higher chance of nexonNA making all CS items permanent than doing this.

Do equips which are duped possess the same ID as the original? If they do, why not just run some sort of stored procedure during weekly maintenance getting rid of all items whose IDs were replicated? That would solve the duping of equips in a short-term progressive way and discourages it from continuing. As far as duped non-equips (scrolls, etc.) not having the same ID or not having any ID at all (lmfao, great work on this Nexon), that's a bit trickier to solve. In the long run, I think turning scrolls like WS into cash-shop-only items would be a step in the right direction.

Anyway, let's hope Maplestory 2 is built in C++ (sarcasm). :3

When you cube an item, isnt that change the ID?

I would presume nope, why should it change?

I don't think items have unique IDs on maple.

there is no such thing as a maplestory 2

Disappointing but not unexpected. Anyway, they should.

Twas a joke (and partly came from the reference in one of the Nexon announcements threads), but once the cash sponge of maple runs dry for them, MS2 would be Nexon's most logical choice.

Mazz Wrote:Then they'd get duped, rendering it worse off than before. At least right now cubes/hammers/wards (lol, protection scrolls) can't be traded/duped. Having them as untradeable & store bought/quest obtained would be a slightly better approach, but that isn't going to happen.
And again it falls back to the problem being that duplication is possible.

Cut off the problem at the source then. A properly robust system wouldn't allow for it. It might make the serverside have to work harder, but if they're serious about resolving the situation, it should be done.

There are still huge problems with the economy though. The whole thing where things have a market value greater than the maximum amount of money that can be held, for one. Even if they could magically overturn all ill effect from duplicated items, there are still other major problems with the economy.

I wonder why Nexon still does not read Southperry.

We do hate everything. Nexon should learn how to take a slap to the face, lower its head and do its work.

I wish that they made it so you could not see who bought items from your shop. This way putting stuff up in shops that demand more than max meso in their titles cant go around and KS the players that buy their stuff at max meso. Although you could already do this by using a mule, and the sellers might find other ways of getting back at you. I swear the fm reminds me of the mafia sometimes. :/
