Why the Secret Spell Scroll system would have never worked.

But yeah, the "great" training areas in GMS are long gone for KMS, making training a lot harder. Aswan just recently got a nerf, it was very good before it though.

Just out of curiosity, how good is Aswan after they changed it? EXP/time wise.

I haven't tried much.
What they essentially did is ruined hell mode for party attack/conquer mode. The old strategy was to just mob on the bottom floor and ignore the top platform, but now you lose if a certain amount of mobs get to the "random disappear with the power of holiness" place.
For a hard mode solo (not finishing, just grinding for 10 minutes), on a 147 Shadower with a 14.5k range buffed, no exp mods or damage buffs, I just got about 5%, maybe a bit less. The towers hit a lot, base their hits off your HP, ignore all defense and defense modifiers, and ignore iframes. Hell of a potburn unless you have Vampire or another drain skill.
Yeah, so about 30%/hour with no exp modifiers or buffs with solo grind, dunno for party, haven't tried for a long while. Doubt it's even that good pre-16x.
Apparently, it's the best source of exp after 16x though.

My apologies, I started rambling so that it wouldn't seem like I was flaming. tl;dr is that there's virtually no reason for legit players to concern themselves with such scandals and the subpoint that you'll almost definitely enjoy the game more if you take a step back from it.

The 27 attack VSS thing was just my way of calling people hypocrites.

It's hard to enjoy the game with this going on. Even if one was to step away from those items they will still effect everyone unless you play the game solo. And well.. If everything is solo.. Why are you playing an MMO?

Howso? I don't see how players using items better than intended affects your experience any, unless you're too much of an elitist to affiliate with such people. Honestly, the only difference between a $7 stonetooth and $700 worth of cubed equipment is that one of them is considered working as intended at Nexon headquarters.

me: "Hey Tyler, would it be possible for someone to just go into the dialogue for chief tatamo and comment out the lines that allow players to sell scrolls back?
fairly certain that since NPC dialogues aren't client side, you guys might be able to simply do a hotfix on at least that portion while the game is still live. unless you already did something like that. "

dev: "Yes, this is possible and will likely be done with a mini patch.

Nexon can merely remove a couple lines of scripting (Java from the NPC) that accepts the scrolls rendering them useless for any players who currently have them.

This would be hugely effective as players who have 'some' legitly would not be effective by going down the ban route, and players who took advantage of buying the scrolls will have a loss.

While I think that the players who blatantly duplicated them (visible from MTS) should be banned, that above route would be the best option. "

Why are they saying that they're gonna do this without doing it immediately??? Great idea, give these fuckwits a chance to sell back the scrolls and flood the economy with the mesos!

Tyler is not at all employed or affiliated with Nexon.
People really need to stop feeding that attention whore.

If by 'they' you mean 'Nexon', I don't believe Nexon has said anything.

No nexon tag. But TyIer is a member of their maple team.
At least that's what I and a lot of people who browse the nexon forums assume. If he wasn't affiliated, they would have done something about him, eg: impersonating a GM.

That's partially true, but you certainly don't need a 600 attack weapon to hit damage cap. More importantly, it's not like these players using hacked weapons are causing you to do less damage. If you're really so concerned about your own damage that you're insecure about being beaten by people toting around old dupes, you might as well pick one up for yourself while they're cheap.

In fact quite the opposite.

You know what they say happens when you assume...
...you look like a fucking tool for spreading blatant lies.

He's not a member of the Maple Team.
He's said this himself.

How his obvious attempts to otherwise mimic a Nexon employee have not gotten him banned is beyond me.
His avatar is clearly crossing a line.

No need to snap at me, jesus christ bro.
I'm sorry I fell for someone trolling, alright?

I thought it made an Ass out of U and Me, but whatever.
He's a Nexon Volunteer, I thought.
I can't actually remember seeing any official acknowledgement, though.

It's okay. It doesn't even really matter.
