3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton
Kojo Wrote:Apparently they may change the name of the Wii U. http://wiiublog.com/blog/2012/1/27/ninte...wii-u.html

I hope they do. "Wii U" is the stupidest console name I've ever heard.

It seems hard to believe they will change it now. It seems that they are rushing as most as they can to release it by the holidays this year, and renaming it wouldn't be a wise merchanting strategy. I'm really hoping the Nintendo Network really brings them on par or avobe the other big 3. I can hope, no?

Meh. The Wii did the same thing, changing its name from the Revolution to Wii seven months before it got released. Plus, it will let people know that it's actually a new console and not just some different Wii. As weird as it is, some people still think the 3DS is the same as the DS lite/DSi because they have similar names.
Nintendo's under a lot of pressure right now. The Wii's lifespan has come and gone. There are less and less major releases especially as of 2011 and developer support of the Wii has kind of grown thin. A new home console that will let Nintendo start from a clean slate is what Nintendo needs to revitalize. Holiday season 2012 is the most they can push it back. It would have been better to see them go back to the drawing board a little to do what they can in order to meet the demands of the western gaming market and the current era of gaming. However, I just really hope they'll be able to pull this off in time.

They need to change it to stop less informed people thinking it's just a minor wii update, like several members of the general public don't understand the difference between a DSi(XL) and 3DS, not realising one is brand new console.
Man, i wanted to pick up the tales of game, but none of my local game stores have it, and amazon want £50 for it for some insane reason.

No local store had Kirby Mass Attack either '-'

Tales of The Abyss has been ridiculously low stock. Namco only sent out two small shipments of the game, the 1st one at launch (obviously), which after 2 weeks was out of stock everywhere and the second on the 27th of January. It's £50 on amazon because those are other random people selling the game, the actual Amazon supply of the game has already been sold.

Play has it for £35, and that was where I ended up getting it. http://www.play.com/Games/DS/4-/20064374...oduct.html
It's only going to go up again too, before the second shipment copies were going for ridiculous amounts on ebay/amazon. i.e., buy it now before it goes out of stock everywhere again.

To everyone in america: If you want tales of the abyss, make sure you preorder it, the stock is going to be ridiculously hard to find :/

omgah... i wish that tote bag was in the eu club nintendo catalogue.

fff I'm 20 coins away from it.

Why would you want that

protip: keep your games in their original cases.

Why? Lots of reasons, but most importantly being DON'T PUT ALL OF YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET. If something happens to that case like a theft or it just disappears into space as things are occasionally known to do then you lose ALL OF YOUR GAMES.

Eddikins: the tote bag is awful. I have it and it's really, really bad.

Those new Note Books are pretty awesome though.
I usually keep all of my games in their original cases. I don't really have to worry about thieves, because I keep my games on my headboard to my bed. If they want to get into my room to get my stuff, they're going to have to deal with me. I can't think of any other situation I'd lose it in.

And actually, I haven't ordered that 3DS case yet. I'm just contemplating it. I want it because it can be Zelda themed. xd However, I already have a 3DS game case my brother bought me for Christmas.
So I got a CPP today and it's really nice to use. Way more comfortable than the actual 3DS. More importantly, though, is that it's going up in price TOMORROW, to $25. It's $19.99 now. So go buy one.
The pineapple? A price INCREASE? Why?

I hope they realize that if no one buys the thing it'll be discontinued. And then games can't be developed around it at a later date.

Pretty sure the price increase is BECAUSE everyone wants them.

Also pretty sure they'll be bundling them with games later but yeah, should support it because it makes playing games much better.
Not gonna bother with one unless either Monster Hunter Tri G is announced for an international release or if Paper Mario requires the CPP.
I guess all that 3d gaming really has an impact on your spelling.

Ew that one piece 3ds game. I hope no one buys it after they ripped out half the game for the European version (inevitably to resell as a second separate game). In case you didn't know, the Japanese version of one piece : Unlimited cruise SP has both the wii games included on one cart. The European version was going to as well, but ~6 weeks before the release date, Namco announced Europe only gets half the game.

That, and the game looks pretty terrible too.
What the hell? Two box typos in the span of a month or two? Who the pineapple are these companies HIRING to mass produce these nowadays? God damn.
New and long
