CWKPQ!

Coogi Wrote:This x100. It's "that sucks compared my 30 att vss" sorry maple freaks, I don't like to max everything out and play maple all day everyday and spend my pay check on it. I don't care about the people that do it, it's not my money it's theirs but when you start say ignorant things like that, you really should be smacked in the mouth, plain and simple.

I ignored that statement the first time around because I thought everyone would unanimously treat it in the same manner, apparently I was wrong.

In my opinion, CWKPQ isn't that good. Even in the old days, it was already becoming ridiculously easy compared to the effort to get enough people to actually go in, the most mundane, average people you can think of.

God knows how long ago that was. We went through Big Bang, Chaos, Legends (lolDS) with craploads of skill revamps, had potential and crafting which means an easy 20%+ mainStat for just about everyone, mass duping that most of the population had to benefit from in one way or another.
In fact, I would be quite surprised if my weaksauce DK can't solo the entire boss stage, and I scroll/pot/cube my own pomegranate without ever stepping into the FM since ages ago.

I really hope they make the bosses scale to level like other PQs, or give them DR/pot cooldown/seduce (or like, make them challenging without giving them ridiculous skills that already exist and are annoying). I'm just glad to be able to do the damn thing again, it's been just over 2 years since I've done it.

I believe it was their attempts to make it more of a challenge that introduced the channel-crashing bug.
They closed it off "temporarily" with the intention of finding and fixing the bug real-soon-now, but were never given time to look at it.
Finally, someone there must have gotten as frustrated as the players, and said, "Let's just put it back the way it was, for now. It will be too easy, but then the entire game is too easy. When we get time to fix that bug we can release a 'revamp'."
I'm not too optimistic about them ever being given time to complete the update they had planned, especially in light of this apparent surrender.
But who knows.

I wish I could say I think VPQ might be similarly reopened unchanged, but I think making VIP weapons easily obtainable is still viewed as too "game breaking" (unlike MoNs), even with all the new sets. They won't reopen VPQ until they've scaled the monsters, or at least the boss, up.

I missed a lot while I stopped playing, so I didn't really know what was up with the channel crashing thing. I was under the impression a new hack/exploit thing that was only possible in the CWKPQ map was discovered/released and as a result they had to remove it. I'd love to play a difficult CWKPQ, there's so much they could do with it, along with the rest of Masteria. Maybe one day they'll 'get around to it' and give the entire area the proper attention it deserves. Even releasing it again is a start though, hopefully they'll realise it's far too easy and be propelled into action as a result...

I can dream. :/

By the way, does anyone know which version had the Pirate boss? Did we ever get that?

--

I never even got a chance to VPQ, I was inactive when it came out and didn't come back until a few months after it had been closed off. Sad

What is your point? Are we comparing things we haven't done or something? How about this then?

I have played on and off since beta, yet I have never had a Zakum Helm on any of my characters ever.

It's in the data but never released if i recall correctly. That makes me think, why NexAm couldn't dodo something as simple as unlocking the Pirate Master to refresh the PQ a little?

It seems everyone thought I was commenting towards another guys comments even though I bold what I agreed with.

I was just posting how people will say things like "that sucks, my 30 att vss are better, why you got that" or something like "I have a 10% Luk 3 stats level 40 thief top" then the moron says "level 90 top is better" it's like telling someone that 10 dollars is more hen 5 dollars. It's just such a stupid thing to say.

Of course there's better things then others but just because you can drop 100 bucks on one item doesn't mean everyone can and will. People try to act like some of these things are "easy" to obtain, when they're not. One of the reasons I play Nova now, not as many idiots and all gm scrolls being 120-150m ea are cool too.

Sephie Wrote:Well here's hoping the term "Part I" will actually mean something in the future (and not just "we fixed it!").

Maybe "Part II" will bring something new other than "adding new classes".

I'm not sure if they changed the PQ at all but seeing as how the bosses are unchanged, it'll mostly be for farming up MoNs and BFCs... both of which are outclassed :/.

For me i was thinking that part two maybe has something like adding the fifth boss that jp maplestory has.

Why does everyone want the freaking pirate boss so badly? There is nothing special about it at all, and plus it is poorly designed. If we got a pirate boss I would hope NexonAM would design their own one.

It's unbalanced in the context of the horrifically broken things Nexon has done to the game in the past couple of years. And it's still some of the best designed content in the game.

I don't care if you can solo the bosses in CWKPQ, I care that you can do your room and arrive on time. The requirements of the pq itself are the perfect foil for the overfunded jackasses who think soloing is a solution to all their inadequacies. You cant solo your way to 10 signups, or 5 completed class specific rooms. You can't solo the organizer's directions.

CWKPQ needs to be fixed only to the extent the rest of the game was broken.

It's possible, but considering the bulk of Nexon's work is localizing KMS's big patches, I doubt they were simultaneously taking the initiative to make creative changes to content. What most likely happened is one of the many GMS specific code nuances they had been using in CWKPQ conflicted with something chaos changed to MS at large - and that caused channel crashes.

Actually, you can since you do not have to be online, only signed up. So 5 "overfunded jackasses" could easily do it.
I do love how having a well built character is the equalent of being a thug or some such in some peoples minds. if it involves hacks and pomegranate, sure, but some people are just lucky or have deep pockets.

Pretty much this. Though I hope part II will actually bring something fresh, and not copy and pasted from jMS.

This is the one reason I haven't rushed to try it.
Such a hassle...

Would be brilliant if they turned it into a legit PQ by today's standards.
That is to say it'd be accessible through the Mirror, only require, at minimum, one of each super-class, and give personality traits.

Went today, pretty sure it counted Demon Slayers towards the Pirate requirement.
