It's nothing more than a joke. Nexon will do everything they can to get the game back up and running as long as it's still profitable for them to do so.

Hmmm it's times like these that I'm glad I have FF13-2 to play.

I wonder if it's bad that I really don't care when MS is down anymore. It almost seems normal.

I do wonder whether they will at any point admit (or "admit") they are under attack.

Whether or not it's true, it might garner them some sympathy from players.
As it is, they look like complete incompetents, who are unable to make some electronics behave for any length of time.
However, if the cause of the crashing is malicious humans, who are able to modify their attack methods to circumvent whatever defenses Nexon puts in place, we should appreciate the efforts Nexon is putting forth to continue bringing us this wonderful game we love.

On the other hand, it's more likely to cause players to just quit, when they realize there might be many more rounds to this battle, until either Nexon collapses or its enemies go behind bars.
