This is easily one of my favorite episodes so far. And Yay for another Applejack episode finally! Derpy's name is now canon, and it sounded like Ashleigh Ball is her VA. The I Love Lucy scene was one of my favorites especially when Pinkie starts eating the cherries. Pinkie sure takes her promises seriously, I'd hate to be on the receiving end of her anger. I had a good laugh at the end too, impending fanfics of Pinkie and Rarity's return to ponyville.

Man finally got a applejack episode and they really did not disappoint. Derpy is canon, the lucy reference, and finally what sane pointed out CHERRYCHANGAS.

Not much else to say that hasn't been said before, fun episode overall.

I'm really wonderning how the rest of the season will turn out. They are really hitting it home with all these quality episodes. Anypony think Trixie and/or Gilda will return? Maybe there'll be one more prime evil villian at the end of the season?

Really a Celestia Tier episode, Derpy called derpy, Pinkie being awesome, great emotional moments, dat Pinkie x Rarity...

Equestria Daily is on fire about Derpy, already 1k comments on the Derpy post lol.

Applejack is always portrayed as a dependable and loyal pony, while having stuff she hides.
Rainbow Dash is always portrayed being honest (to a fault) but sometimes leaving her friends.

See, this is why I think fanservice wasn't such a good idea. You people get these crazy fan-made ideas because Hasbro was nice enough to let this one slide. Many writers will start pondering towards you people, and less original ideas will be made. =/

Not necessarily. It all depends how well the fanservice gets carried out. Small nods here and there are great. You can still have original stories/ideas without ruining the story quality.

Whoa, Derpy is now official. o_o I expected her voice to be a bit different, though.

This was a somewhat predictable episode to me, only because my instant thought before Applejack even left is "She totally doesn't win the rodeo in this." However, my mind went back and forth because I never saw Applejack as being the kind of pony who would tell her friends and family that she was never coming back to Ponyville just because she didn't win. Honesty is her trait, I see her telling them that she didn't win the money but that she would earn the money in other ways. While technically she didn't lie about the whole thing (only because she refused to talk), she kind of fibbed about "staying for a change in scenery."

Overall, this was a very nice episode. I enjoyed it despite the above.

Anywho, posting it a bit earlier because I'm going to be spending time away from the computer to study. New episode tomorrow, gonna hope it's going to be THE Applejack episode. See everypony tomorrow!

Applejack is going to go all John Henry to beat their opponent, if it's going to be machine vs pony labor. No way the Flim Flam brothers are going to compete on an equal level as the Apple family. Or hmm... maybe they'll use magic to gain an edge!

So it's classic vs modern eh? Sounds fun. Now that I think about it, we haven't really had an applejack episode this season, that's kinda sad.
