Australia Appreciation 2x EXP Event

Happy Australia Day! MapleStory is celebrating our Aussie chums with a fair dinkum two-hour 2x EXP event, to be held during an Oz-friendly time on January 26!

-Australian Time-

• 
  
• Western: Thursday, January 26, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
  
• Eastern: Thursday, January 26, 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  

Night owls in North America can join in the festivities, too!

• 
  
• Pacific: Wednesday, January 25, 10:00 PM - Thursday, January 26, 12:00 AM
  
• Eastern: Thursday, January 26, 1:00 AM - 3:00 AM
  

Finally, don't forget that the regular 2x Drop is running through January 31!

If only Nexon gave away 2x exp cards (which can stack with others and last a week) during these events, it would prevent 2x exp event cluster-fck-glitch-ks-ing (new word for 2012?) at LHC and would make everyone happy for playtimes...

I though it was a random "LETS SHOW AUSTRALIA SOME LOVE" and then they chose thursday
I was unaware of Australia Day. hahahha

Good on Nexon for actually thinking about their non American customers, but I still prefer the Hunter's Luck style 2x, would probably cause less server problems

I've never heard anyone here say "crack open a coldie" either. :f6:

But still, awww that's nice of Nexon to think of us. I'll be home on Australia day so I'll be able to log on for 2x exp. For once that I don't have to try to convert time zones for Nexon events!

Fair enough as I won't be going to school. 1 and half hours of 2x for me.

But yah like said, They should release those damn event coupons. Would fix a lot of problems.

Just had to be around the same time of my English Provincial. I want to level my characters before 2x cards go away but random s'hit keeps popping up so I miss 2x events -_-

The times don't match up correctly.

According to the Australian times it would be 9pm - 11pm Pacific, 12am - 3am Eastern.

My guess is that they converted from PST into Australian Standard Time, even though most of Australia is on Daylight Savings at the moment.
I'd expect it to actually go from 5 - 7pm AEST, but it's probably safer get on an hour early, just in case.

Oh yeah I was going by Victorian time. The times are correct for Western Australia and Queensland.
