So just how far have you gone to prepare for the release of Pirates?

You're quite full of yourself to think that the enjoyment that you'll get out of playing the class is more important than the enjoyment people will get out of taking advantage of the hype.

Please refrain from trolling and starting a flame war.

The post he made was an obvious troll attempt and should have been left out. Just my two cents.

And I already did the Olaf "Path to _______" quest.

Ahh, I see. All the EQ items give 500 exp right?

Yup.

Although I wish I could move on to a tougher monster since Jr Kitties is no longer good EXP. (I'm about to level to 50)

Once I can 2 hit Jr Yeti's I'll start collecting their ETC. drop for the EQ.

No, my posts were not a troll attempt and I did not intend on making you mad.

I was just telling the people who read the forum about what I'm doing to prepare myself for the release of the Pirates class.

I guess I posted in the wrong topic.

All I've done is picked out my name.

I think it's very befitting for a pirate, 'Hanged'.

While true, see this:

This is the PIRATE forum. If you have no interest in Pirates then why even come in here? That's like going into the forum for Thieves and calling them all a bunch of Narutards.

Hopefully you see my point. Wink

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Levelled my Pirate (iSwabDecks) to level 10, 99.98%. I currently have 40 slots of 200 EQ filled, my goal is to get to 60 slots. I also collected every item he will need for quests up to level 30. All this should get to me level 22ish.

Not...trolling.

You have the most unrealistic perception of people that disagree with you, ever. People that see things differently (i.e. aren't obsessed with Pirates to a degree that results in feeling the need to protect the pirate section of southperry from any and all outsiders who begin to doubt them or even demonstrate a lack of support), or prefer to play differently are not all "obvious trolls." Also, that analogy was one of the most horrible I have ever seen, but I won't respond to it since it wasn't directed to me.

ummm guys sorry to burst your collective bubbles but im pretty sure we got the ui update to were we can get to level 30 as a noob then advance and recieve our level 10-30 sp *even though it was unanounced* ... Im not 100% sure but a guild mate said he tried it with a level 11 and it worked... maybe someone should test it.... but even if we dont have it yet .... then we are probably still gonna get it 100% before pirates come out. as gms tends to enjoy ui updates as seen in the previous 10+ patches... anyways.... someone should test it out so as you people can get to level 30 now and then when pirates come out directly become infighters or gunslingers.... anyways. gl to you all and god bless yar ! o.0.

Yes...if you read the thread some people are already doing that.

Main concern is the HP loss you get by getting to level 30.

would there be any hp loss ? there arent any hp+ skills in the 1st job. and as for the hp gain per level its the same no matter what level or job you are unless you have a skill that adds to hp in first job like wariors o.0. and as for the hp added for the job adv it is probably added too.

Beginners gain HP and MP horribly slow compared to other classes; just look at Magicians. Your first level as a Magician (8 to 9) without MP increase's MP gain is much higher than a Beginners; same with a Warrior, level 10 to 11's HP gain is higher.

Thinking logically, Pirates should gain more HP than Beginners. That and low MP gain would affect HP washing if the person is planning on doing so.

isnt that why they gain hp/mp when they become a 1st jobber though ? to recover the mp/hp lost from being a beginner from 1-10 or 1-8 in case of mages ? I mean shouldnt it just give you back all the hp lost from being a beginner from 1-30 ? I mean has anyone figured out what the hp/mp bonus is and why we get it at the begining of 1st job but never again at 2nd or 3rd or 4th.

The HP/MP bonus is the class bonus...o_O

Warriors get a lot of HP, very little MP.
Bowmen get balanced HP and MP.
Thieves get balanced HP and MP.
Magicians get little HP, a lot of MP.

And at 2nd job (And I believe 3rd, not sure about 4th) we also get another HP/MP increase.

no we dont get hp/mp bonuses at 2nd 3rd or 4th... and i think what makes the bonus a bonus as you said mages get more mp wariors get more hp etc etc. there is probably some formula to that bonus it cant just be some .rand number... thats not the maplestory way... there has to be some sick twisted formula behind it. all im saying is could that sick twisted formula for the bonus hp/mp gain be in anyway connected to the hp increase and mp increase diffrence gained and the level the person is.

Yes...there are bonuses at 2nd. Not sure about the rest.

Even though it's a 5 level gap, note the drastic HP and MP changes. About 400 in HP, 300 in MP.

EDIT: Just for point of reference, the difference in a 6 level gap at 6x.

Fighters get no MP, Pages/Spearmen get no HP, and Magicians get no HP from getting your job. o_0

If you're talking about HP gained per level as a Job compared to Beginner, Mages loose HP.
