So you haven't seen... Hearthswarming Eve, Family Appreciation Day, and of course Baby Cakes. A suggestion if I may, for Family Appreciation Day. Rewatch it immediately after you get to the end. It becomes a whole lot more enjoyable. Also, feel free to post your thoughts for each episode, via spoilers of course.

Rewatched the episode last night with a few other people on Skype.

The episode was great. It went from funny to creepy to what to cute. There's not much to say after that, but I loved it.

And I can't help it. I giggle like a little school girl every time I see this. A favorite moment of the series, and it puts Pinkie further up on the list.

I never liked the fanfiction Cupcakes in the first place, it's kinda sloppy and too grimdark for my taste. But this animation looks very smooth and detailed with the blood and gore and all. It taken something scary and menacing into a playful joke.

I haven't seen this video yet, but as a teenager, I gotten freaked out just knowing that hundred thousands of viewers are going to watch this, and I've seen dozen of embarrassing videos from bronies and haters, but this has gotten more critically negative responses from EqD apparently.

That was the funniest thing I've seen all day. Good stuff.

I'm amused how these clips get leaked out. I always wonder for stuff like this if it's accidental or intentional.

-And for a brief moment AJ was completely without her hat other than when she's asleep. And it felt weird.
-Someone in the stream calls AJ a Mary Sue for winning so many rodeo competitions. LOL
-OMG DERPY CAMEO. AND SHE'S CALLED DERPY! AND SHE HAS A VOICE! AND SHE GOES DERPING IT UP LIKE THE FANON PORTRAYS! ALREADY BEST EPISODE EVER!
-I wonder how much bits the rodeo competition is worth, for AJ to compete in it only to give the money to Ponyville to fix the roof.
-Oh Pinkie, scaring Fluttershy like that, and because it's Pinkie she didn't react so scared. Was all, "oh Pinkie, you startled me". So cute.
-Awww, Big Mac crying when he hears AJ isn't returning.
-WELP. Applejack already found.
-Helping... a Ms. Cherry Jubilee? Helping a cherry orchard? Le gasp!
-Applejack is hiding something. Doesn't want to talk about Ponyville? Hmm...
-I Love Lucy scene confirmed!
-All those poor cherries waste. Jesus Christ, how horrifying at eventual photoshop/screencap of the cherry juice into blood.

-D'aww. Applejack was afraid to come back due to not getting 1st place. I wonder what happened during that rodeo competition? Probably a whole slew of new competitors came, and they were all Michael Phelps level good.
-Poor Rarity, having to put up with Pinkie Pie going all Deadpool while getting back to Ponyville.


Overall thoughts: Celestia tier episode. Felt bad for AJ, since the episode cements the fact she definitely suffers from pride issues. I feel it definitely did better than Applebuck season in terms of showing her character flaw. But I still await for an Applejack episode showing her doing something completely awesome. I'm hoping for some Hercules-type feat, showing she's the strongest Pony in all of Equestria. Or heck, maybe reveal some sort of power only exclusive to Earth Ponies?

Pretty excellent episode. It was pretty touching when Applejack didn't get the prize money and she doesn't want to disappoint Ponyville so she has to get some money. I love every scene in this, the Derpy scene, Pinkie Pie doing what she does best, that Lucy scene, and the epic chase scene. That ending was pretty funny when Rarity has to put up with Pinkie's non-stop chit-chat.

That Derpy scene kinda feels a bit too forced. Don't get me wrong, I love that scene when it appeared, but looking at it right now it felt like it's too much fanservice, like ponyfans are going ape pomegranate over this. I'm surprised they named her Derpy and not some other name, they used the fan name.

So... yeah, great episode this season.
