Aside from that, arguably my favorite part of the entire game is the chronoscrolls. It's like EVE online's pilot license extensions, except they are only tradeable once (no marketeer hording), they ONLY add +subscription time (not like EVE, where those licenses add a ton of extra stuff now, making them more like cash shop points), and they drop off of all elite mobs, which, if you are good at the game, you can solo anything. Each scroll is +15 days to your subscription, so if you play a good amount you will only need to pay the first sub fee and then never again. Actually, if you get into a good guild, you won't even need to grind the elite mobs, as long as you contribute I bet they will give the high ranking members the scrolls for free.

August edit:
Countdown for QoA2 is 10 days. If you don't already know, QoA2 is the first real game expansion for the US version; it adds Battlegrounds, 3 new instances, a new item tier, revamps for almost all classes, and new glyphs, as well as revamp on the shitty Nexus system where you can now form a raid of 10 players and fight one, instead of having to go in a huge laggy mob and only on the weekends.

I would be excited if my pc could actually handle it. Also if it was free to play.

It's not THAT high req, I heard the baseline was 8800, which is a 5-6 year old card.

And yeah, if it hadn't been for the chronoscrolls, I would have been turned off of it, but I'm willing to pay a one time subscription, I'll just look at it as purchasing an NX card or something.

a lot of people in my dragon nest guild are really excited for this. I don't have the time to tackle another MMO though. I'm already going to go after guild wars 2

well, it's an action MMO just like DNest, except it's an open world rather than an instanced MMO and it's probably not going to be based on luck with hiddens and enhanced gear to be strong lol.

It's a better version of a LOT of free2play MMOs. It takes the best parts about a ton of them and makes them even better. AIKA's political/nation vs nation system, Vindictus'/DNs combat system, EVEs free subscription item, et cetera. Hopefully it gets the popularity it deserves, but right now most people that have heard of it are butthurt over Elin (either because omg ur a pedo or omg they gave them crappy clothes in US/EU version). EME kind of dropped the ball on that, all they did was alienate even more of their potential userbase by "censoring" Elins; the people that don't like them won't like them regardless, so all it did was make the people who WANTED to use them angry.

Personally I'll just use a char texture mod to revert it to original, which will be out literally a day after release, I'm absolutely sure of it. lol.

Everything looks nice and all...
Except the combat system. Not my cup of tea. I need something more face pace. |:

And its about time a release date came too, it's almost as bad as Diablo. I really hope I can manage to have a go of the beta, not sure if I will play with Diablo 3 coming.

after playing dragon nest, I kind agree that the combat does seem slow.

Really? Not even Lancer? The blocking system is very intensive.

Great job NCsoft, you just lost thousands of B&S sales with this one action. Mine included. I was looking forward to that, but now I think I'll pirate it and play a private server just to piss them off.

36:35 - 42:30, they talk about TERA for a bit.

Sounds like the people in that article have no idea what they are talking about. It flopped in Korea because you can hit cap level in a week, and they want to grind, not do endgame stuff; the vast majority of them think hitting cap level IS endgame.

Besides, what does TORtanic even have to do with TERA? Confusing article is confusing...

just participated in a 2 hour server strength test for eu. Lots of lag to begin with and then over time it went. Dunno if that was people got annoyed with it and logged or anything.

The game is everything i expected and its pretty beautiful to look at (and im not at max settings)

The combat looks far too slow, and the skills aren't flashy at all.
