Largest Maplestory hacking website being sued by Nexon America and Nexon Korea Corp.

Article said main dude was based in Waco, Texas; that should be good enough for IRS.

13,000 subscriptions on a monthly basis sounds a little steep too me.

lol@above. He's going to be in pomegranate if texas charges sales and use tax to subscription fee's like Maryland does. Let alone the IRS lmao

Where'd you get 13,000?

That article is completely wrong. Riukuzaki (the one in Waco, Texas) isn't the one profiting off the licenses. His programs for the most part are free, and only takes donations. The only money he makes is the little bit he gets paid for helping code VIP additions for that site. Bizarro is the one who is making the actual money.

And for the taxes, it's called off shore bank accounts.

Not to mention the one "Vincent Hai" is a 15 year old kid on the website and has nothing to do with the program being sold at all..

You and I are talking about 2 different people from the article it seems.

They said a million dollars a year so I divided it by 80.

and 66k? LMFAO he wouldn't be able to even ATTEMPT off shore banking and be untaxable.

If the article is incorrect then I'm assuming those pertained in the lawsuit aren't accurate either, as usual people overreact about his income, and his ways to avoid the government as if he runs a justified business lmao.

I don't think it's as high as $1,000,000, however I don't think it's as low as $66,000 either...

Didn't the trainers that people bought only last for a month or so? At least that's what my friend told me...so maybe taking Locked's 3,300 people and multiplying that by $240 (12 months x $20 per month)...looking at about $792,000...still a huge chunk of money however you look at it.

Either way I'll be keeping up with this story as I am always interested in how online-based lawsuits turn out...such a subjective world in a lot of cases when it comes to laws pertaining to online issues.

Obligatory hamad post.

Let's hope this goes quick and Nexon wins, lawsuits take too long. -sigh-

Justin Wrote:Not that I expect anything to come of this. It'll just make these sites go underground. We'll still have to deal with the same hacking bull pomegranate we always have. Just on a smaller scale, maybe.

If this lawsuit succeeds, it will at least demoralize publicly releasing all these hacks.
I am not familiar with the US legal system, but legal fees are something Nexon can afford and the individuals probably cannot, so that could work in Nexon's favour too.

None of them are that young?

This is kind of weird.

If you can't beat them, sue them.

CarrionCrow Wrote:Nexon do not even have to win. A few years worth of processing will destory the poor fools on the other end. I can't imagine they would have close to the fundings needed to dance with a major corporation.

You are sadly mistaken.
This is a matter of pride, Nexon will lose.

Also, these individuals are no fools.
There disclaimers will disclose everything needed to end this case in a matter of weeks.

Do not think Nexon Korea's lawyers are smarter then people actually running a business rather than inheriting it.
Typical SP is typical.

Option 2: Delete any information off the site for a temporary time.
Case will close.
Information re-posted.
Case reopened.
>Greed
Case closed.

Good luck Nexon Korea Goggleemoticon.

Lol'd.

Edit:

Woah, woah, woah.

I get banned from a thread for posting an opinion, huh?
More of a fact moreover, but still.

Someone mad?

Edit V:

Because you are Vincent Hai. Otherwise you should make it obvious to the rest of us how you know what he does in then privacy of his house.

Vincent Hai is 15, best part about that is that he's only a Super Moderator on the site and has nothing to do with the hacks that are coded.

The PDF is even more hilarious than the homepage post. They can't fix their game or their poor ass customer service, so they blame these sites for causing the damage. And since they can't stop them, they try to sue.

I'm certain you're entirely credible.
Well, lets think back on my friend; D2 at its peak wasn't even half the size of MS at this point, not even close. Not even a quarter. So, if my friend was able to make nearly 7 figures a year off of THAT (half from item sales though, but I'm willing to bet they sell items too), then it stands to reason that if he puts any effort at all into this he will be making at least that much, too.
