Legit or no? - Fighting glitched bosses.

This.

Makes me laugh how a bunch of players deliberately glitch the decent skills on their characters, even on all their mules, but cry witch when someone fights Grandpa Boss now.

As I said in the beginning, the game is glitched as hell. Just play it and don't do something dumb that could get you banned. No more rule than that.

If Nexon never fixes this, would that mean it's the new way it's meant to be played? Different versions have some tweaks in content too.

Not trying to justify myself, I actually don't do those bosses. Just food for thought.
No if Nexon never fixes it then the situation stays exactly the same.

The thing about most of these bosses is that they used to be there to gauge your progress (strength/skill). Neither of those things exist in MapleStory any longer so whether or not you can ever kill them legitimately is kind of a non-issue.

For the same reason that I initially talked only of the Showa bosses and didn't mention absolutely every glitched boss in existence: because the glitched bosses were meant to serve as an "example" (definition 5).

Now, are we done with the stupid questions?

Glitched decent/useful skills would definitely fall into the same grey area and can certainly be discussed as well.
If you want to discuss them, the best course of action would be to, well, start discussing them.

All you proposing that any of us can see into the world of the future to see if Nexon ever fixes it?

Of course, whether or not they do is irrelevant because it definitely doesn't change the situation.
Using the Decent skill example, just because they missed alternate ways of achieving the glitch when they ran the first fix doesn't mean that those alternate methods were intended.

Now, if Nexon, at some point, releases an announcement to say that an obvious glitch is "working on intended", then we can treat it as Word of God and pretend it's true (almost like a real-life retcon), but hypothetical scenarios don't change the current reality.

Have you actually ever met someone who both glitched Decent skills and complained about people fighting Grandpa Boss or are you making up a completely hypothetical situation just to act incredulous?

Yes, Yes i have. They were an insufferable person who complained about everything hack-wise, yet used those very same hacks under the justification:

"its nexon's fault not mine"

Neither of the things I described were hacks.
Thanks for trying.

Oh, you'd be surprised. There's this guy from my old guild who just loves to rant about maple-righteousness but has glitched decent skills all over his mules. And yes, I see this as a severe contradiction. If you're gonna just abuse a small glitch, why peach about any other glitches? He also, together with a ton of maplers, rushed to double egg his HTP, farmed 50%s from the Aran creation, has bought duped items, etc...

I personally don't care about what other people do, unless they directly affect me, such as hacking on training maps, dc hacking, hack mesos, etc... Those are indeed nasty things. Now, having Billy age 10 have Decent Hyper Body on all his mules? Or kill something that has been glitched for months? Who cares?

Oh, the distinctions people can make.

For example, if your criterion for illegitimacy is making the game too easy, you could easily have more of a problem with fighting a glitched boss than glitching a decent skill. Think about it, decent skills are attainable only because of the potential system and cubing - no actual game content is cheapened by evading having to spend NX. It's not make effort > kill boss > get helm vs make less effort > kill boss > get helm. It's spend NX > get self hb vs not spend NX > get self hb.

I think the potential system is bullshit and most means we have of avoiding its necessity are justified, so there's a hint of agreement from me for the above.
