Certain Weapon Potential Lines Nerf your Damage

Describe the problem. Be as specific as possible!:
With certain potential lines, it causes your damage range to show up in blue numbers, which is the nerfed color in the stat window.

I cubed away from the lines in the screenshot I sent, got garbage lines, but my range went up by a decent amount.
