Bleach Manga thread (SPOILERS)
CrazyForDex Wrote:And The whole thing is a plan by Aizen.

No, the main character, being aizen, is currently in a coma like state while his stomach is being pumped from drinking so much bleach.

So uh. Anybody else think today's chapter was completely worthless? They just skipped ahead a few days and called it "good". What the hell man. I hope this piece of crap arc is done now, and things actually fucking pick up. Ichigo got his powers back, cool story bro, now let's move on with things.

Yea I didn't really get the point of this chapter. It felt pretty out of place for me. Can't wait to move on.

Meh time to move on. Was really hoping for a bigger bang instead of everyone crying and finally finding the meaning of life.

Worthless chapter indeed. Everything about these fullbringers was developed the wrong way I say.

The problem is bleach lost it's mainstory, well main atagonist. What should have happened is they continue the story with the spirit king and find out its origin. Instead we have a bounto arc that is supposed to measure the upgrades, but none of them were strong, just tricky. It reminds me of YuYuhakasho with the arch of ex-spirit detective. You remember that arch wasn't too great either but it foreshadowed an amazing finale, I feel like the author is trying to do the same thing here. The problem is, none of it has to do with anything of the spirit king and the nature of the enemy can't be compared to an Arancar, besides the subsitute spirit reaper. They're just humans with unique abilties. It's like fighting a bunch of chad's.

There's nothing new, its the same thing as the bounto, there's no foreshadowing of the next interesting arch, and all they did was wail on a bunch of weaklings and elaborate ichigo's importance, which they could have done in 10 chapters rather than 30.

Yah, I did like that arc in YuYu Hakusho and I liked Sensui. Him and Ginjo got some things in common but he wasn't all-chat like ginjo was.

My believe is that Kubo was having a lot of pressure from Shonen Jump and had to rush and twist the arc out of what he had planned. That and the always bothersome fact that the anime is so close to the manga.

Completely agree. I had no idea where they were going after Ichigo defeated Aizen and lost his powers, I knew they were going to get them back somehow, but I expected something Urahara/Isshin-backstory related rather than "look at these random fucks that have random motives and we have to fight." Really pissed that it's taken so long to just get through that arc and I think it is amazing that Kubo has literally ticked off every single fan that reads his manga. Honestly, every person I talk to about this manga has no idea where this arc came from or what the pineapple was the point of it. Really depressing considering I really like this manga and the potential it has.

Yeah, if only Kubo knew how to make a chapter without an assload of blank/sparse pages and with proper story progression pacing.

He is an amazing artist when it comes to facial expressions though. Dude always blows my mind with that. Now if only his chapters were ~30 pages, maybe that way we could get through bs arcs faster.

First time I've ever read a chapter of Bleach and just been left confused.

Off of one break into another 3 week long one f3. At least we got to see all the captain replacements. I wonder about all the other vizard though.

As if he didn't have a whole arc to figure out where he wants to take the series.

More like was. Not even kidding on this.

I dont get it. Why is Kubo trying so hard to glorify Ginjo? What was it he did other than playing with Ichigo and trying to kill him? Other than recluting a bunch of people with psychological problems to go around killing people?.

This ending would have made waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more sense if Kubo had kept Tsukishima as the bad guy and Ginjo as a good one. If ginjo had really died when he took that stab to protect Ichigo.

I think it's an interesting take in shonen manga. Typically it's a black and white thing, but in this case the antagonist, protagonist relation is kinda gray. The problem with this arc is that it wasn't executed properly, which is perfectly understandable. Considering the ratings that Kubo got, I'm sure his editor or some higher brass pressured him to finish it as soon as possible. I can see a psychological conflict being an interesting story where Ichigo has to go through with fighting to the death with a mentor figure. But considering the rush to end the arc, that wasn't really flushed out at all.

But then again, I guess people don't really enjoy reading moral gray areas unless it's written by Ohba.

Eh I can kinda see this, but not really to the extent that you are saying. Ginjo may have taught Ichigo fullbring, but at the same time, he was the mastermind behind the whole, "I'm going to mindfuck you and your family and destroy you thing." So it is pretty black and white, Ichigo kills Ginjo, or his life is ruined and he dies. The issue with Kubo's ratings probably came from the fact that this arc blew and took way to dam long to get through the insignificant crap that we all had to read through for the last few months. I really don't have much sympathy for Kubo and am not completely sure why Ichigo cares so much about having Ginjo's body be buried in the real world. I guess the only reasons I can see is that Ichigo can understand partially why Ginjo reacted as he did and since he's a human, Ichigo wants his body to lie in the real world that hes from, or something like that.
