Demon Slayer

Being an Aran main, I didn't have many problems with DS.

I already have my trusty xpadder with autofire and xbox controller to save my ass from demon slash being repetitive (much like overswing). I'm disappointed that the jump techniques have lesser hit detection on xpadder than just the keyboard (much like combat step), but I can still high jump (though reaching the highest high jump is pretty hard to do on the controller).

I got from 10-100 in a day.

I'm pretty much done, because:
-This class gets super nerfed in Justice while Aran gets massive buffs
-100-122 is all MDTs/gigs/red turtles (around 20 hours), 122-200 is LHC once the randoms start accepting me.
-My damage sucks, all the teams at LHC will suck (why hello there 6 below-130 demon slayers and no HS in all parties), and I don't have the 6b required to waste on this broken as pineapple skillbook system that should've died in v0.58.

I'm done guys. Be back when Akyrum Arkarium Akuarium comes out.

I'm really bummed. I can't play this, it's just not a well done class. I was looking forward to it more than any other but I honestly can't get into it because of the terrible controls. This will be the first story character I'll be missing out on.

I'm not going to argue that it's a preferance thing and i'll admit that I'm a complete DS fanboy but is it really THAT bad for you guys? I mean the other classes are LESS mobile so it seems to me ( Again I AM biased ) that some mobility is better then none?
I mean gliding is very comfortable I doubt anyones gonna argue against that, why not just pretend the high jump doesn't exist instead of trying to play a class a certain way, play it your way.

I dislike DS, but it is not nearly as bad as Sarah make it sound like. The only bad control issues for me is with movement skills, but all you need is the glide, and if you fail gliding you just suck.

I found Demon Slayer sort of boring and not as great as I thought it would be. I was aiming for lvl120 on it, but just going to stop at 70 for link skill. There's only 3 things I like about DS: glide, 100% stance, and instant transmission(a skill that would fit the Bucc theme).

I do enjoy this class really. I especially like their vac-hack. No wonder hackers loved vac hack so much back in the day. it's so much fun and it can go on infinitely because it heals energy if there's monsters.

I like the mobility. That's the main thing about it that i really like. Melee class + mobility = hax. It's funny to see people not abusing the mobility while playing because it's one of the most efficient training methods ever.

And this is why I love my Mercedes. It plays like a Melee Class with the mobility of a NL/Bowmaster, With some Ranged skills

I think why most of you are quitting at 70 is because all the resistance jobs are horrible 1-3rd job but in 4th job they get a lot more fun and enjoyable, when you have 120 df to use and you recharge it in under 10secs it is a lot of fun.

I don't know how it is for the others but for me it is THAT bad if none of the combo skills will work reliably or at all. I can't move around the map near as fast or kill near as fast as everyone else. Others can clear the rest of a map while i'm wacking one or two mobs one stroke at a time. I would literally level 1/10 the speed of others.

I had high hopes for Mercedes, but that class has a fair amount of combo skills too. FFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

I just don't enjoy the class and I don't understand why it's so hard to wrap your head around. People have different tastes in what they like, so instead of being flabbergasted by the opposing viewpoint, accept it and move on.

After all, less competition for you.

I've got the hang of high jump, but I can't seem to glide. Seeing as it's like the most necessary/easiest one to do it's pretty frustrating >_< Stupid controller settings making it impossible. I refuse to go back to using a keyboard.

The poor hit detection on the controller compared to the keyboard means that:
-I high jump a little lower than on the keyboard
-There is the chance the glide won't work on high jumping

but when it does work, it's amazing. Gliding on normal jump is also easy to pull off for me. The ridiculous maneuverability is what allowed me get from 10-100 in a day on just x1.5 buffs and elven blessing.

I actually liked the DS for training. Getting it to 120 was a blast. Very powerful, very quick mobility, great array of attacks. Once I got to something that took more than a few lashes or AoE skills to kill, it got.... obnoxious. I find it ironic that the DS has boss dmg, when it appears to me that they would be really annoying to boss with. I may just leech his butt, or do some other stuff with him. Maybe train in less HP areas like Ludi or Leafre. Overall disappointed at the end. I need to be able to hold the attack key down and have him do the full Lash over and over. Until i figure out how, I'm gonna continue to mope.

A thing that will never happen xD , for me using the mash way to do the combo lead me to less training time as it tires my arms xD , i normally spam the Vortex of Doom at third job to kill and hold down the attack key to regenerate the fury.

About DS killing fast etc , i think after the nerf apply to gms it will disappoint many of the ds players.

Should have done what I did and buy the mastery books in advance. I have 23 DSlayer Mastery books for every 4th job skill, minus MW20/30 and Skin20/30, and it cost me a little more than 1bil in total.

Well I've been prepping the mastery books since they first started popping up the FM, which was back in early December.
I didn't wait til last minute when things started getting way inflated.

Neither Did I, But it still didnt help that EVERY SINGLE skill of mine failed the first 2-3 times, IR30 just happened to be worse.
And the fact that Demon Slayer books deflated due to oversaturation in the market because nobody could use them till now, While Mercedes books were in high demand because it was roughly a week and a half between CAnnoneers and Mercedes, leaving not much time for the market to become populated with books.
