Ano Natsu De Matteru episode 1: I knew from the first 10 seconds it was made by the same people who made Ano Hana, and i like the similarities. It's basically Ano Hana with aliens and ecchi, which worked pretty well since it was mostly funny and didn't happen too often. Liking the characters so far, especially alien girl and Lemon, who is just so awesome. Another show i'm sticking too. Expect tears, lots of tears.

I'm seeing this season being absolutely blasted by reviewers, but i'm actually really liking the shows this season. They need to stop looking so intently at the similarities with previous seasons and focus on what makes these shows stand out, which to me they already are.

The only person that worked on Ano Hana that's doing Ano Natsu is the director. Otherwise the script, music, even the studios are all different.

I rather like the shows, as well. It's certainly not as good as last season, but it's not as bad to me as people are making it out to be. Though personally I'm rather looking forward to Spring 2012 much more than I was for Winter 2012. Fate/Zero 2, Accel World, Kimi to Boku 2, Sankarea, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, and the Kimi no iru Machi OVAs.

Wow really? the first thing i noticed was that the hair and glasses of the characters seemed awfully similar, and the shots of the city and the sky seemed similar too. Perhaps they are going for the same kind of look.

Yeah, they both look considerably similar but, just the director is the same. Got Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai 1 downloaded, gonna watch it after x2 today though.

Dude was initially (reluctantly) babysitting his three adorable nieces, then received word that his sister and her husband had gone missing. As their closest relative, the poor fellow is now their uhh...surrogate father. Hence the papa.

EDIT: Just found a stream that translates the title as "don't call me daddy!", which is about as far as you can get from its actual meaning. /facepalm

It actually translates to "Listen to what daddy says!"

Seems that the anime's trying to add in some backstory before the story begins in earnest. The manga starts right after his sister and brother-in-law go missing, and the two of them never show up.

Rinne no Lagrange - 1 - Hmmmmmmm, interesting...kind of. Need to see more. This show was kind of hyped too.

Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai - 1 - Lawld at the "sob sob sob" and dawwwwwwwwd hard at the trumpet blowing. Thisll be an awkward mix of daww and hngg.

Came for the Yoko Kanno. Stayed for the absurd quantity of shonen/mecha cliches and glooorious robobattling. Burst into laughter at expected/10 get beat up->I FIGHT FOR MY FRIENDS-> kick ass scene with hilariously appropriate upbeat YOU CAN DO IT insert song accompaniment.

Also, proud moment in my anime viewing history: I immediately recognized Amata's (Amato's?) VA as Shu and Sion. So proud.

Huh. Thought this was a shlock harem show. Pleased to find it is a classy harem show. Will continue.

As much as I hate that they killed off Gai, I still loved the episode, and this series.

Still haven't gotten around to watching Papa No Iukoto, and I'm behind Mirai Nikki by 2 episodes now, 3 soon once ep14 airs this weekend. I marathoned Yumekui Merry yesterday, was a decent show. Marathoning Baka Test now, since I never finished it all those months ago when I first started it.

Also, not anime related, but I joined a scanlator group for manga a few days back as a QCer. I'm also going to apply for this internship thing to CommieSubs as an editor. Hope to eventually be apart of fansub/scanlator groups as a translator, so I'm starting early with what I can to get my foot in the door.

It was left-field. The break made me forget a bit of where the show was at. It was all political and robobattles and suddenly there's this Mana pomegranate going on (which was unsubtly hinted at, yes). I'll add a caption to the gif for you: "Wait... what? Uhh... sure, okay. Yeah, yeah I'll be back next week. But I'm just gonna... walk away for a moment"

Senhime Zesshou Symphogear Episode 2 Cool episode, but i can't decide whether Hibiki or Tsubasa needs a slap more. Tsubasa is annoyingly fucked up and Hibiki is just annoying full stop, i hope she dims down the enthusiasm a bit. Also, looks like this show is gonna be full to the brim with Les Yay. Totally expected.

And seriously, just WHAT ON EARTH is that ED. Mutilated dead girls cut open and decomposing with nipples and SEWED UP PRIVATE PARTS. I mean sweet jesus. You'll know what i mean when you see it.

Nisemonogatari 02: Holy pomegranate that has to be the godliest tier of fan service I have ever seen in any show anywhere ever. The amount of hnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggging I was doing. All it needed was Hachikuji and Senjougahara, but ep1 had all of that. SHAFT sure knows how to spend its production money. Also, I like Kanbaru's new hair.

Senki Zesshou Symphogear 02: Hibiki is way too happy about everything. Tsubasa is understandably angry. I hope Hibiki doesn't win that fight.

Highschool DxD 02: Okay this was pretty bonerfying. Had to make up a new term for it. It's also retarded, but at least it's uncensored. dat loli

Inu x Boku SS 01: It says Shounen but it screams Shoujo to me. Doesn't seem that interesting in my opinion. Might keep watching since I always find I have a lot of time to fill.

Kill Me Baby 02: It was very similar to episode 1. Also, that OP is terribad.

Amagami SS+ 02: hnnnngggggggg Ayatsuji. Sae grates my ears. lol'ed when the other girl screamed out the window.

Guilty Crown 12: This show screams gay. Gai and Shu are both gay. I don't know why (actually, I do, I'm a huge S) but Mana gave me such a hard-on.

Yeah. That was some of the best fan service I've ever seen. I would not mind in the slightest if half the season was simply nothing but fan service like this.

We're well on our way to a full season composed entirely of fanservice! I see the hair better now as well, thumbs down on Sengoku, thumbs up on Kanbaru. Kanbaru's eyes seemed abnormally large on her face. Hoping to get a wee bit more of just a little plot going, but then again, this can totally get away with being a sexy anime Seinfeld and be comprised entirely of witty dialogue and fanservice.
