That was... actually pretty good. Despite having "bodacious" right in the title, there wasn't really even any fanservice. Hoping for a Mai Hime/Kiddy Grade style guilty-pleasure action romp.

It was May 28th. I only know that because I created a MAL page the same time I started watching Clannad. I did, but very, very little. First few weeks I got into anime was spent almost entirely marathoning several different shows, followed by a few hours of sleep then continuing the marathons.

I essentially still do that, but I had stopped for a few months since it's hard for me to find shows that have already finished airing that I want to marathon completely through. Though since mid-December I've been marathoning several shows quite a bit. Mawaru Penguindrum, Seitokai Yakuindomo, Steins;Gate, Bakemonogatari, Ben-To, Kannagi, C, Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi, Kimi to Boku, Love Hina (and its specials/OVAs), Nyan Koi, Rosario+Vampire S1 and S2, and some others.

Bodacious Space Pirates episode 1: It's been a LONG time since i watched a space anime, the last one i watched was Outlaw Star about 7 or so years ago and this show doesn't look like it's going to disappoint. Considering the name of the show and the amount of females in the cast i was expecting a much larger amount of fanservice, but they took themselves rather seriously for a first episode and i enjoyed it quite a lot. My only real problem with it was the opening, what a terrible opening.
Definitely gonna be a strong series, gonna be following this one

Highschool DxD episode 1: Basically the exact opposite. 99% fanservice with a ridiculous main character and an opening episode that spent more time lovingly animating bouncing boobs than actually setting up the story. I like ecchi shows, they are usually funny and can have some pretty good plots, but it doesn't look like this will be one of them. Might not continue this one, depends if i get bored by the time the second episode arrives.

From my impression of the manga and light novel it actually will be pretty good as far as story goes, compared to most ecchi shows, anyway. There are a few scanlated chapters of the manga you can find, and Baka-Tsuki has the first two volumes translated if you want to see for yourself.

Aquarion EVO 01+02: Lol, they reused some of the soundtrack from the first season. Will continue watching because I like the series.

Forget what I said about Space Pirates, this is a guilty pleasure waiting to happen. I guess they're both being directed by the Nadesico guy. Would love to know why they gave a robot heels though.

Another 01: Oh my, I like where this is going. I hope this turns out to be one of the better horror animes.

This season is looking really awesome so far.

Mirai Nikki episode 13: They could have cut a lot out of this episode and made the plot move a little faster, the next part is arguably the best of the whole series, and they are kinda moving it a bit slow. They could have introduced the 8th before the end of the episode rather than ending it on such a crappy cliffhanger.

Senhime Zesshou Symphogear episode 1: Wow, this is a lot darker than i originally thought it would be. That transformation at the end looked downright nightmare fuel and incredibly painful. I kinda hate the foregone conclusion at the beginning though, but i really hope they make something good out of it. Definitely sticking with this one!

Another episode 1: Never would have expected Stephen King's Pet Semetary to show up in an anime (it's the book mentioned when he's in the hospital, she says he's reading King).
Not exactly sure what to think about this show yet, its certainly atmospheric, and i love how the rust all over the school looks so much like blood. All those school kids certainly have some secrets or issues (or both). The fact that they are all somehow involved despite the murder (come on, it's obvious) happening years before in the same class makes me think that these characters are also dead or in some way trapped in that year in that class. The fact that Misaki didn't remember meeting him and mentioning a 'sad moment' happening on that day suggests some kind of Higurashi-like time loop going on. Either way, i'm gonna keep watching this just to find out what the hell is going in.

Also, does anybody else think that the opening song sounds like the 'haunted house' level of a retro game? haha. It kinda ruined the moody atmosphere for me

Another 01 - Interesting start. I have a feeling I'm going to either really like this show, or really hate it. Sooo creepy.

Ano Natsu de Matteru 01 - Best first episode of the shows I've watched so far this season. Before it aired I expected an average rom-com, and instead got quite a bit more. Can't wait for next week.

Also, it aired a while back, but I'm about to watch the first Evangelion movie.

Another 01: pineapple Ali Project. Somewhat boring. Nothing too interesting happened in this ep other than the freaked out face when he mentioned Mei. Looking forward to hopefully more interesting stuff.

Ano Natsu de Matteru 01: Doesn't seem all that promising, especially since JC Staff. Probably going to be some ecchi "I'M FROM THE FUTURE" herpderp fest.

Rinne no Lagrange 01: I swear the ED animation is made by SHAFT. Not sure if I like Lan. Commie's subs (official rips) suck ass. Might be interesting, but the premise seems weak, and the protagonist seems way too willing.

Zero no Tsukaima Final 01: More Kugimiya Rie. I may end up holding this like Shana until it finishes. Episode was as rageworthy as ever.

She seems more like an alien than someone from the future. Either way I don't see it being becoming an ecchi show either, the fan service wasn't constant. Either way I really enjoyed the first episode.

Anyone else see Kaito in Ano Natsu and think Jintan with glasses?

Also, first Evangelion movie, I can only say wow. Downloading second movie, hope it's as awesome as the first.

Amagami SS+ - 1 - Yup, its Amagami alright. That girl is a peach.

Another - 1 - Pomergrantes creepy. And I watched this before bed. Im hoping it gets more scary though.

Senki Zesshou Symphogear - 1 - Fight with your words AND your actions. Dat ending.

Another ep.1: That hospital really reminded me of the Cradle from Thief 3. Creepy girl randomly appearing, spouting some nonsense and then vanishing into a dark hallway is always a nice touch to hospitals.

Highschool DxD ep.1: Just as with Freezing, I felt like I may as well have just gone and watched a hentai.

Zero no Tsukaima F ep.1: I think I'll have to re-watch the first three seasons to be able to follow what's happening again. Nice to see the Saito and Louise being more open with each other now though (then again, they could have been acting like this for a while and I just don't remember because it's been so long since I've watched this show).

Ano Natsu De Matteru episode 1: I knew from the first 10 seconds it was made by the same people who made Ano Hana, and i like the similarities. It's basically Ano Hana with aliens and ecchi, which worked pretty well since it was mostly funny and didn't happen too often. Liking the characters so far, especially alien girl and Lemon, who is just so awesome. Another show i'm sticking too. Expect tears, lots of tears.

I'm seeing this season being absolutely blasted by reviewers, but i'm actually really liking the shows this season. They need to stop looking so intently at the similarities with previous seasons and focus on what makes these shows stand out, which to me they already are.
