Higher level provoke is also nice. This video shows that more provoke grants more threat + it shows how good a kickadin can be. It's not even the best damage I've seen from other kickadin videos.

-snip-

Holy Kick ''needed''? No. For a kick Paladin you can either learn both kicks or leave it with the default kick (Roundhouse). It's up to preference. There are those who prefer the speed from just the default kick + action speed plate for DPS. Sliding Knee Kick I left out because the person didn't show interest in PvP, or at least not PvP builds.

Show me a video of a kick Paladin in a dungeon of they're own level, please. Tired of seeing high level players showing off in low level Nests. It reminds me of when Maplers used to show off near Henesys. High damage on low level monsters is a given, I want to see what they can do on monsters in their level range.

There's also the question of: Is this person even interested in being a kick Paladin? They don't appear to be, to me anyway.
Yeah, I actually would get at least one point into Holy Kick as a Paladin. It's a nice side attacking option since it doesn't have a cooldown, and the Paladin basic attacks might be far too short-ranged (if mace) or slow (if flail) in comparison.

In which case, I'd take points out of Aerial Evasion to get both Dive Kick and Holy Kick. I don't think Paladins really need maxed Aerial Evasion unless you're going to PvP, and you have Aerial Block for whenever you're in the air anyways.

(Dive Kick isn't useless either. I have it as a Priest, because it grants invincibility frames when used. Very useful to escape from aerial multi-hit attacks when used immediately after Aerial Evasion.)

You don't absolutely have to get them if you feel that you need more Aerial Evasion though. I have a feeling that the Paladin in the above video has Roundhouse Kick with an animation speed crest, of which I'm quite sure that it's one of the most expensive skill plates in the game.

EDIT: Or going off of the above, you can probably just ignore Holy Kick altogether and just get Dive Kick while keeping maxed Aerial Evasion. You had unspent points in that build up there.
案山子 Wrote:I would agree, personally, on leaving Smite at Lv1 in order to better some of the other skills, but he appears to want a little more offensive power than a Guardian would have normally. Guardian has almost nothing as far as attacks, and even well-geared Guardians don't really compare to the rest, so it made sense that he would want a little more power while still keeping the majority of what he needs.

I've adjusted the build according to some of Alilatias and your recommendations. I left Smite at lvl 1 and moved the points over to Ele Aura and Provoke. The 10 points (3 lvls) into SKK are there, but can be placed elsewhere. I hardly use SKK and I'm not sure if it's that useful.

Sorry I didn't mention it before, but I'd like to do both PvE/P.

If you're going guardian, you really lack a lot of attack skills outside of your kicks. Between having and not having holy kick (and dive kick) I believe is 12 SP, but you get a much bigger DPS increase. There's plenty of room for 1st job to get that SP.

If you don't, then you're basically a party guardian. Soloing is going to be pretty annoying. You can use sacred hammering but it's not going to be as strong since you're built physically.

And by your request:
ok what sorcery do I have to perform to make +12 primary vortex geode work. I tried right clicking it and dragging the weapon into the window and it says "it has no effect". Staff is obviously a primary weapon, it even says so in the char equip window, so what the hell?
Its a mix up.

Primary Weapons are actually the Orbs/Book/Puppets for Sorceress.

The pineapple? Great, I'm broke now. :l
You bought that +12 orb? :x
EarthAdept2 Wrote:You bought that +12 orb? :x
Yes, because it said primary weapon for the friggen upgrade mat, and everything in game says staff is primary weapon.

Except when you craft. Tongue Dunno why this mix-up hasn't been fixed yet though.
Patches have been copy and paste mostly.

just sell the +12 geode in the market
Rusty bro, good to hear the ring made you a profit. Those were some terrible sparks.

I had your money last night but you weren't on; I'll log on as soon as I'm done installing SR3.

I may only be playing on Saturdays myself, now. Lots of stuff to do!
Thanks for the tip Rusty, that crest just sold at 700! I got it off of the ogre in Dying City Gates, so I'm gonna farm him; it has a good spawnrate on the royal chest anyway, so I can get rich off of that too.
Royal chest spawn rate is completely random and spawns in random locations now.

Crest drops are also random and are universal between all bosses I believe (?). The only reason you'd farm one boss over another is if you can complete the dungeon faster than the others and/or you're farming for the crafting mats that the boss drops.
EarthAdept2 Wrote:Royal chest spawns in random locations now.

what? swear on it.
EarthAdept2 Wrote:Royal chest spawn rate is completely random and spawns in random locations now.
I scour Dying City Gates every time just to make sure, out of ~25 runs, the 3 times I've found the chest it was in the same spot, the spot it is listed as spawning online. Same with Black Sov Towers...
