Removal and Replacement of Illicit Items

If nexon accidentally had legits affected, would legits rather be perma banned or have a weapon refreshed?

Sorry but I got this line as if you were refering to 'legit' people in hold of a hacked/duped weapon. Even though it's Nexon, I don't think they consider possible screw-ups in their decisions (the should but don't). For me they chose not to ban anyone as that'd take out half the people currently playing, and that isnt good business.

As I think was posted before, if one was willing to spend thousands of $ on one of these items, obviously they're willing to spend a lot of money on this game.
It would be counterproductive for nexon to ban them.

Honestly the game would be in a much better state without the players who are willing to pay hackers to break things. Do you think it's free for Nexon to patch hacks? A 10 hour server maintenance costs them money.

Well, this is a pleasant surprise.

If I had the capacity for hope I would celebrate.

At best I can offer my fervent prayer for as minimal of a pineapple-up as possible.

Another hour until we see how much collateral damage there is, and the hackers start smegaing what slipped through.
I fear for my +9 weapons and +7 glove. Not much else is max scrolled.

Inner-conflict in the hacker groups with eachother? I can see why it would be odd though. Maybe something else is coming:o

They aren't going to ban the leechers...
That would take out about 90% of Nexon's players / customers as almost everyone by this point has leeched off them.

The game is going to end up closing down if they do that.

Pulling %s out of one's ass is fun, right? There are more than enough players around who hadn't touched LHC due to the hack.
The leechers being banned would make the game much more enjoyable anyway. L>Update about that.

Im terribly sorry to disappoint but it is important you hear it now then find out later.

The notice pertains to the extra item slots issue and not any other issues related to in-game items.

We know that enhancement abused items are still available in game and we will be continually removing the items as we come by it.
Please note that the enhancement scrolls can no longer be abused and we fight daily to keep balance in MapleStory. Thank you.

So the enchantment hacked equips will not be affected by this maintenance.

At least they know the items exist...

Which is worse than not knowing as long as they do nothing about it.

At some point those "flauted" ones would do far worse than any of the hacked weapons we know about. You really think a 255 attack shoe is less game-breaking than a 301 atk nisrock? Because they WERE going to get released to the public eventually.

It's never worse if they actually know about it. It means they are actually capable of seeing over an inch in front of their faces. It means they could get to it eventually; if they don't know about it, they will -NEVER- get to it, ever.

With Hime saying 301's might be able to be obtained legitly (open to debate -> most likely meaning multiple people at Nexon) is just another point showing they have absolutely zero knowledge of how the game works.
