But on average, you're going to lose to Xerath without being one of the few specific champions that can counter him.

Only if the xerath is good or you are a scrub (Or if Xerath just hard counter you in particular, while both being good)

Im not saying Xerath isnt bad (I own him and have rape face with him), im just saying that the player behind him must be good for him to be optimal.

Lol Irony? How do you beat xerath in lane?

Phreak Wrote:There are a few things to keep in mind when playing against Xerath:

1. Try not to line yourself up with him and your minions. Make him choose between using Q to last hit/farm, and using Q to harass you. Do your best to make those different actions. You'll tend to take less damage this way.

2. Being a pusher such as Morgana is very powerful. Xerath's ability to last hit at turret is not very strong, nor is his ability to stop pushes at early levels. Up until level 6, keeping him at his turret while still watching for jungle ganks may be your best course of action.

3. Go buy items once he hits level 6. Get a Null Magic Mantle if you have to. Just whatever you do, don't be full glass cannon against him when he has his ultimate. If the dude has Sorcerer's Shoes, there's a good chance you'll flat out die to his full combo. Get some MR or at least be full health with a Catalyst.
So my tablet got scratched and I'm going to be weirded out if I try to play games while the scratch is still there.

Yes, I play LoL with a Wacom Tablet. 8)

(つยดω`)つ I love warding, but it's nice of the rest of the team helps to ward, too.

He's good but it's not exactly superspecialawesome just to play with him. I was on his buddy list but he deleted me when I stopped being active for so long.

@solic: playing bad xeraths br0.

Anyone that doubts xerath's supremacy is more than welcome to 1v1 me in mid under realistic circumstances (jungles, other lanes so ganks are realistic)

I haven't played against one, but ahri would probably be problematic.

Lets make a custom 5vs5 game bro (SP only, i dont know what a friend is). And read the second line of my last post (Before this one).
Not quite sure what you mean by player behind him, but I'm guessing you mean your team/ ally needs to be able to capitalize on his abilities. Jungle also really needs to give him blue buff every time it's up.

*Facepalm* Player behind him means you, the one who direct him. And the blue buff its true to every AP Mid/Carry in the game (I Super rape face with Ahri when i get blue buff)

Someone doesn't know the meaning of average. Or mid-high+ elo play for that matter.

Quote:Lol Irony? How do you beat xerath in lane?

I've seen that already, before I started replying to you in fact. The first point goes with anyone with an AoE anyways (except versus Karthus, discretion is advised).
KajitiSouls Wrote:Someone doesn't know the meaning of average. Or mid-high+ elo play for that matter.

No, never have bothered with ranked so i dont really dont know the concept of average in LoL

Oh. Not sure why I didn't read it like that. Probably my not having breakfast yet.

To get an average, you have to have played a large number of games, or at least witnessed them. Of course, you wouldn't know the concept of average in LoL, because you don't know the concept of average, period.

Did you get your period or something? I do know the concept of average, i do not know what its considered average in LoL PERIOD.
Jax to be the next "Champion Remake"

Quote:Played against him in a playtest today and seemed to be coming along quite well (mechanics there, numbers still being refined). Don't know exact release date/patch, expect he'll be the next champ remake we release though.
Dark Link Wrote:Jax to be the next "Champion Remake"

sigh how they can bring out a remake for jax in a few months and eve takes over a year.
Eddikins Wrote:sigh how they can bring out a remake for jax in a few months and eve takes over a year.

Because jax was made useless with the removal of dodge (Since he revolved around that), eve was just overly nerfed.
Eddikins Wrote:sigh how they can bring out a remake for jax in a few months and eve takes over a year.

Dodge and stealth are two completely different types of mechanics. Jax was still passable with or without dodge because of his passive, whereas Eve was basically balanced around stealth.
FenixR Wrote:Because jax was made useless with the removal of dodge (Since he revolved around that), eve was just overly nerfed.

But eve was made useless cos people can't handle stealth Sad...

(yes i know she was a real pest with stealth stun not gonna dispute that)
FenixR Wrote:Did you get your period or something? I do know the concept of average, i do not know what its considered average in LoL PERIOD.

Guess you'll never be able to grasp the big picture then. Of course you can't tell what's exactly average, which is true even in real life examples (not purely mathematical or conceptual ones). Randomness prevents it. That doesn't mean you give up on trying though, and having no knowledge or information is infinitely worse than having some experience.
hmm. nasus is a lot of fun :O I'll have to get better at him. Played a terrible Co-Op vs AI game where everyone on the team was playing a new champion and was constantly feeding. But we still won Big Grin

I seem to be liking tanky champions :x I guess it makes me more comfortable with dying (since tanks shouldn't really die, but they can die if need be).

I believe we play on differnt servers as I play on EU west but I honestly doubt it's the skill of the xerath players I'm facing that's the problem here. I play 1600-1800 elo and I've rarely lost my lane against him with my Lux or Morgana. Even today I snowballed against one and went 9/1/8 because I was able to juke almost all his q's that were used as harassment during laning. The only thing that I've underestimated about him admittedly is his cd on his ultimate, which caused me to die combined with flash/ignite. I at least provided an argument on why Lux is better at laning then Xerath and I'd wish you'd try the same.

On another note I just love it when a team sorta links together and you can instantly tell you've a good team. It's usually indicated by lots of chatting and no flaming whatsoever. Had 2 of those matches in a row today and I was able to snowball like crazy in them and had huge fun. Too bad you can see a bad team pretty easily too. NEVER EVER trust so called 2k+ elo smurfs duoing. They ARE bad and they WILL lose the game for you. 0/4/2 Xin and 3/9/2 Anivia I'm looking at you sigh.
