Familiar Hack

What's been going on in Mabi? I've not played it at all (mostly because I think I'm Eu IP banned). It wouldn't be horrible if this happened to MS, but I hope they're able to fix it without having to do so.

I've been hearing reputable sources from legit guilds here in Windia that this has been happening in Maple too. Whether it's true or not, I'm not sure. However I wouldn't be surprised if it were.

That's awful. I hope they're capable of getting players their items back =/ Taking the game offline for something like that seems like the best move really.

@Danny, which guilds? I overheard someone in Zinnia say they had been force-trade hacked in the FM, but they used to be hilariously shady so I didn't think anything of it.

I just realized there could be a way all familiar hackers get off scott free and "legits" and even people who unwillingly took part of the hack may get banned

It would be bad to see Nexon miss the actual hackers, but it is not like banning those that took advantage passively would be unfair or odd in any way.

Mabi always seems to be ran so much better!

sigh~ don't know why they didn't jump on this before weekends 2x. It's ruined it for a lot of my BL. Could they not have just disabled familiar system til a fix was made? That can't be hard? Can it? I don't know much about programming but im sure a 1-2hr SC could have done that?

Nobody minding the store.
Has been this way for two weeks, except for a tiny visit by Hime on the 23rd (after the Scania crash), which might have been done from home.

Hopefully tomorrow they get back to work and realize what all has been happening. And then.... we will see.

I doubt it seeing as this hack has been around for awhile now and I still haven't seen "S> 140 dual bow@@@!!@@@".

I'm sure that Cygnus is still messed up to drop weapons.

I saw some frames but it seems that the hackers can summon Cygnus Familiar... by only using a snail one o_O.... I mean they summon the snail familiar but has the status of Cygnus...

Oh. As if this sh*t wasn't enough and as if a good 70% of Maple hasn't suddendly decided to consider familiar hacking and/or leeching from familiar hackers completely legit and normal, now a d/c exploit which can crash entire maps and can be done by literally ANYONE was found.

Keep in mind poor Mabi is still down. The crowd is equally split in terror of 'not being rolled back' and 'how far will we be rolled back'. It'll take me over a week to recover even a single day rollback due to everything I managed to get done Friday/Saturday. Ugh. And I'll never recover the shiny bargains I found (which were a single clueless shop, not dupes)

Seriously, I'd really like to play MS without there being a mess of some sort going on.

I'd really like that.

The game just closed and I got an invalid pointer error in the fm...hope I didnt get items stolen. I;m wondering if its worth logging back in...
