How long is the break for nexon employees?

Nexon employees get the last week in December off (this week) so they should be back on monday? or Tuesday (next monday is a holiday here duno about US)

nexon is genius in the scamming area:

-let hacks loose for weeks
-woops ok guys rollback to a week ago
-2x exp everyday 2hrs a day for a week
-gives every acc logged in for that week 10-20k maple points
-people go out to buy nx just to smega their rage/re-cube stuff or w/e

I actually spent a bit of time today screencapping all the hackers/leechers at LHC. Was determined to submit tickets aplenty and convinced said tickets/screenies would play a part in the great hacker sweeps that are sure to come... then I came to my senses. Forgot who was running the game for a second there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't nexon usually not ban for wz edits? Think of all the pypq hackers back in the day.

changing the .wz files is still against the ToS and therefore ban able. Your point is mute as you can ask "doesn't nexon not ban for vac hacking? Think of all the vac hackers that have been blatantly hacking the last few months." Just because they're not bright doesn't mean that you can't be banned for something that's clearly against the rules and not working as intended.

There seems to be a huge lack of common sense these days within the maple community. No one's asking themselves "Was the game ever supposed to actually play this way? Am I supposed to sit on a rope and gain experience while I go to the kitchen to make myself some coffee? Am I supposed to be at a level 140+ area as a lv 3x leveling at the rate of 1 level per monster kill? Maybe I should stop..." Glitch crockies fall under this too. I'm guilty of training on a glitched crocky map but at least that forced me to use my skills and attack and move around. Familiar hacking was the straw that broke the camel's back and forced me to quit, cause I've seriously lost faith in this game, it's players and the company running it. Especially it's players. There are a ton of scumbag players out there, but I hoped the many of them who never hacked would at least have some integrity. I guess I overestimated them.

Don't worry. I'm still legit. I just don't play this piece of pomegranate game anymore. I Just go on to do a random quest, say hi to my friends, then move on to wizadry 7 (yes, that old game on dosbox), AVA, Battlefield 3, or any other random game. Even some hacker arms today...no idea why...i mean that game lags even on a 5 ghz core i7--all you have to do is have someone lay a bunch of friendly landmines and watch the FPS plummet...(it's the landmine green marker causing it)....(ever since that pineappleing UI "upgrade" about two years ago...STILL unfixed...)

Everyone is either worked up over familiars hacks or are conforming to it. Nexon is going to do something, and if anything discontinuation will be their first option.
I dont even touch LHC, so this and ToT are the only way these things are affecting me. My guild isn't giving shi't to any hacker so that isn't a problem.

Ever since that pimento teenager named "Jeff" dc hacked me at LHC and then I got to hear his creepy scary demented ass on Skype, that's when I realized LHC is just an arrogant smelly rude mapler heaven, and I stay away from it. Heck I've always stayed away from it.

Doesn't matter anymore. I don't care if maple crashes and burns and nexon shuts it down...I'll just go run over noobs in some tanks in Battlefield 3, while everyone else cries about no maple....

I think Maple got a little too big for its own good. There's a reason why most MMOs only make advertisements directed to the gamer community, via websites and anime stuff and such.

When you plaster a MMO in magazines and over TV, you get the attention of people who really aren't built for MMOs. Hence our hack happy community that doesn't really get how stupid this is.

Seems that way. Two years ago one got the perma ban death penalty for buying a few chaos scrolls through MTS...now one can dupe thousands of 20% Clean slates/whites and hundreds of 301Cravens/596ST/etc/etc then sell them for ten of thousands of $$$ NX via countless SMegas and you dont even get noticed...

That's not why we have hackers though. Hackers appear in every MMO you can find all over the world. It's most likely done because of its convenience of leveling up and obtaining money/gear. Not because they're advertising in the wrong places, bringing in the wrong people. Where they advertise the game isn't going to change that MapleStory and every other MMO has always had hackers and always will.

I doubt that they will do anything as you say, but don't be surprised if they launch another half arse mass ban. It would not be the first time.
And of course it does not make you a bad person taking advantage of this hack, just a crappy player. And since we can only know each other as such in the game, do the math.

They should release a patch that causes ban on any account that tries to log in with the modded familiar files, and then not tell anyone about it.
