Original Dragon Nest Thread

for anyone who wants to abuse a light helm on apoc, these are the simple steps to
do it.

1. Make a Light craft helm. Light helms
have a 25% chance to give 40% light resist (pretty much all of apoc's attacks
are light)

2. Make a Life giving piece of gear. It
doesn't really matter which one

3. Go to garden of
eternity on the west side of saint's haven

4. Unequip all pieces of gear (helm, chest, gloves, legs, shoes).

5. Equip your life giving piece FIRST, then put on
the rest of your gear.

6. I think you have to press
ESC -> Return to town, but just zoning back to saint's haven normally might
work too.

7. Find a party for apoc

8. Do everything else like you normally would and
grats on the 5 second cooldown on 40% light resist.

I really want to put it up at the official forums, but the all-purpose trolls in the place scare me. I'll probably put it up anyways, as there was a discussion with a forum mod there a while back about adding additional sections to the forum, with the mod saying that there probably weren't enough fanartists and fanfic writers in the DN Global community to justify creating a section for them in the future.

The SEA forum actually does have a fanart/fanfic section, and I'm no stranger to the mannerisms of the SEA community thanks to my years of ferrying information to the MSEA community at AsiaSoft, but as far as I'm aware, the translation differences between DN SEA and DN Global might be massive enough that half of the jokes would fly over their heads. Then again, considering how 'GLADUS TEK MA' became a full-blown meme over there even though it originated from the PvP section of the DN Global forums (and was largely ignored here), I wouldn't be surprised if someone else put it up there anyways.

EDIT: And now I find out that the official forums are using software so outdated that copy/pasting apostrophes from Word turns them into question marks on the forums as soon as you make a single edit. (It works just fine before.) That 5 minute edit limit does not help either. Ugh.

Wow really Gerrant. That's how you die? That's weak and anti-climatic. Get whipped to the side, grow wings and immediately get skewered. I would've preferred the cliche, he jumps infront of you and gets stabbed protecting you or something. How do you go from stopping the the claw with ONE HAND to flat on your face and getting stabbed that fast.

Also, dat generic character action scene. My character is a sorceress and you're telling me she's gonna pick up a large metal bar and whack the monster at a high speed with it? Really?

This game is now TES IV: Oblivion. Main quest is bad, side quests are where everything is at!
