Apologies but for some reason, I thought this was hilarious.
Seriously, though, I have no idea how I'd feel if I were to stalk people I consider friends and not just associates and find them involved in this.

Huh?
"Hey Bob, come play basketball with us?"
"Sure! But I'm going to be using this remote-controlled ball."
What?
Perhaps the best thing I read today. That and Eos' hope definition.
You guys should take up philosophy.

I take offense to that

I don't see why. It's got far more to do than Maple, with far less drama and idiocy. Not to mention how much more stable it runs (which is just pathetic considering the higher graphics quality over a sprite game).
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

I tried it a long while ago, and although I played it for a bit I just felt like I wasn't for me, though everything you're saying is ringing a bell.
Perhaps I'll try it again, though I wish Maplestory would get the same service Mabi gets considering they're run by the same company and all that.

Well, if it's any consolation our chat server has been down since the holiday's began because Nexon's too lazy to reboot it, so we get shafted here and there too. They're just better at apologizing to us about it in most cases.
If you do give it a try all the cool meeps on Ruairi.

Came back from being out of town for a day, hoping to see a maintenance to take care of this. NOP.
I won't be surprised if even my favorite ToT maps are filled with these guys by now. I hope Nexon perma bans every single one of them. x.x

- "but hackers are getting everything legits do but faster and they don't waste time on this gaem therefore they are 'WINNING'"
- "wz edit not a hack durr"
- "leeching off hackers is just like training on glitched LHC maps WHICH EVERYONES DOES ANYWAY therefore it's okay"
Let the excuses continue to pour in, not sure why they even bother trying to justify themselves to anyone since they seem completely incapable of doing so.
@above, did see some random 3x at red dragon turtles doing nothing, wondered why it was there. =_=

Well, this game is a disaster.
Today I could not set up a party of only people I knew so I had to recruit people outside of BL/Alliance.
1 person I recruited leeched the whole time. Awesome, we had enough attackers anyways.
The last slot that needed to be filled, I had to go through 5 people. 4 of the 5 used Familiar Hack or asked me if I mind if they did (which, I said I did). All of them except 1 left the party after hearing my response. Eventually I found another leecher.
Then, a hacker comes in and starts Familiar hacking and tells me to CC. I obviously refuse (as most my party were AFK leechers) and just fly around the map with Leap Tornado (yay Mercedes) to make him CC. He got mad and told his buddy to come too and then I had to deal with not 1, but 2 Familiar hackers. It took awhile but they eventually left.
Honestly, I think they're doing this to piss off players who want to train legitly because we were in the bad Golem map and half the channels were open (I know because I surfed to recruit).

I doubt they have much choice given the current situation.
