If you don't get anything out of something, don't do it. Though, tonight at one of my family's many christmas parties, I had some really awesome bourbon slush stuff. But again, that's a dessert drink, not really the same as straight up alcohol. I only drink stuff if it tastes good, and that narrows the list down to...girl drinks, I suppose.

Whatever, you guys can enjoy your horrible tasting beer, I'll be over here having something that actually tastes good!

If it makes any difference, the alcoholic beverage(s) in question is wine. I tried a little bit of a few different types that my dad and his girlfriend drink every night and I just didn't like 'em. The last time I even had a sip of beer was nearly 10 years ago, when my dad told me to try a sip of his. I don't exactly remember what it was like. I do also remember another alcoholic beverage my dad and my uncle were drinking one time that I had a sip of... God, that stuff was strong and it made me feel like I was drinking what nail polish remover smells like.

Bad wine is bad, good wine is good (and expensive). I've learned to appreciate good wine here in France.

Some people do, some people don't. It's an acquired taste. Pretty much everyone hates it the first time they try it. I think it's fine, but I don't like a lot of beers.

I dont really like wine either. I prefer carbonated wine drinks like Asti. If you can, go out and sample different stuff. I love Woodchuck Hard Cider. As strong as a normal beer but a lot tastier.
There is practically an unlimited amount of alcoholic drinks on the planet. Anything from wine to beer to hard liquor to a million combinations of the thousands of brands and flavors.

Obviously, drinking with others is far more fun than drinking alone. If you have no one to drink with then i can understand not wanting to bother.

I don't need to drink, I have a natural dorky high all of the time!

But yeah all I drink is girly drinks because I have such a sweet tooth. Wine is okay but you don't drink you sip it.

I like the taste of alcohol, I don't like it's effects.

This. I don't get why the society in general feels it's a need to drink alcohol and get drunk. Is it that fun to look stupid as hell and wake up with a huge headache? Most people on the face of this planet seem to think yes.

Same here. Spat out some wine I tried many years ago almost instantly.

But yeah, if it's one of those sweet "girly" drinks, I'll probably be all for it. Hate bitter stuff.

Starting to like bitter/sour drinks is a step to growing up, says FLCL.

If this is all you need to grow up, you're already grown up by the time you're a little kid if you happen to be Chinese. Can't tell ya how many times I gotta drink really bitter stuff because my mom or relatives say it's good for your body.
