Yeah, I found that a bit suspicious too. Not entirely sure if he's evil, though. I wonder what the hell is up with that Mystery Man too? All that stuff that Gerrant mentioned about the Tempest Dragon or something being split into several others that Gerrant and Argenta had to seal before fighting the Black Dragon... Makes me wonder, are we going to see others attempting to become dragons themselves, just like Velskud?

I wonder what's up with that Black Dragon plauge thing too. I would think that our character has been tainted, since we clearly see the blood spilling onto our character after Gerrant defeats Velskud at the end of chapter 4. But no one even brings up the possibility of something happening to our character, nor is our character showing any signs of being affected by it so far.

Honestly, I think the Mystery Man = Chicky. Every time you meet him, you're on a quest for chicky. He also has that glowing aura around him as if he was transformed.

When you walk away, you can hear the bishop cackling behind you

after talking to Gerrant he says
"I sense a dark energy within the city that should not be, perhaps you could ask the people about it"

that's desolation point, he's talking about the other dungeon on the other side of that map.

That can happen in desolate point too. The part where you grab the meat, there are like 3 or 4 shiraki blue scales there who seem to have a much longer than normal freeze (seems twice as long) and it can pin you down pretty much 100-0 since there are so many of them.



edit - rofl check this out. This happened like 2 minutes ago. My gear was breaking and I was out of mana. I was freaking out cause he was almost dead and I didn't want to die

both annoy me, invincible skeletons moving all over the place, i can't mob them right, and the other one has too many mobs so i can't sweep fast enough (hate them cannons)

crossroads is good, except for random rocks, but not bad at all really xD

Was thinking the same. It goes a LOT faster than desolation point and graves imo. Plus on Abyss you get 4 bosses, double the drops!

i just did it in abyss... it... it wasn't pretty... oh god, the nightmares from level 13 return (the 2 harpies that sleep you and seduce you, and the forever juggling dark elves+parlyz.)

Lol. Cerberus Nest at 40 is fun.

Manticore Nest on the other hand, is not.

Hopefully I can get Spectacular at 40. Is there a title for solo manticore and apocolypse?

Yeah. Don't think I'm soloing Manticore Nest for a long time. Normal or Hell. Need to stack a hell of a lot more hp and damage.

Is it really that bad? The videos I've seen of it, it doesn't look any harder than cerberus

I remember seeing a post on the Nexon forums about this Paladin already soloing Manticore Nest without dying, but he didn't get any titles or anything.

vice what crests are you using for defense? On my merc I'm already using health/life giving and a lucky plate. For my last slot I was thinking of going for magic defense.

What is this magical word that you speak of?

If you have all your main crests, I think the best option for the rest of the crests is to just find one that has that one option you'd want.

For example if a lucky plate has strength on it, get that. Don't get it for the lucky stuff, get it for the option.

Ehh... it's not all about damage. If I get a plate with a 3rd line on it then sweet, but I'd rather use an epic lucky plate than a rare lucky plate with 10 strength on it.

Yeah, I'm strugging with my plate selection. I know I will be using these for my Priest:

- Mystical
- Wise
- Health
- Life-Giving
- Windswept
- Maybe Fierce (If I'm already using Windswept for crit and crit resist, I might as well grab a Fierce plate too, although I'm wondering if a Priest's base crit is so mediocre that it won't even matter unless you gear only for crit...)

But for the last two (or three) slots, it's a toss-up between:
- Spirited (this is the MP regen one, right?)
- Sturdy
- Willful
- Lucky
- Unyielding (assuming it's the para resist one, I heard level 40+ dungeons have mobs that can essentially paralock you if you don't have high enough resist)
- Ultimate (yeah right, I've yet to find any sort of Ultimate crest on any of my characters)

I wonder what would be more threatening to a Priest at higher level dungeons, magic attacks or physical attacks? I would guess magic attacks, unless bosses have ranged attacks that are counted as physical damage...

hmm... para resist might be a good idea. I'm not sure if that would be stronger than magic resist. As for DPS crests i'm using windswept, brutal, destructive, and fierce. That's 4/8 slots already. Then I have the 2 health ones (6/8) and my lucky (7/8). So, that last slot is going to be tricky.

Dear lord, going from my Swordsman to my Mystic is heartbreaking. I went for like the bare minimum on her so clearing dungeons with her....just painful.

that's why lucky is such a powerful plate. crit resist bones everybodys damage
