Pokemon + Nobunaga's ambition.

Pokémon + Nobunaga's Ambition is an upcoming Nintendo DS game which is a crossover between the Pokémon franchise and the Nobunaga's Ambition series of games. These games are due for release in 2012

Not much is currently known about the game, but based on the previous series, this game features you controlling various Pokémon to take over parts of the region of Ranse. In the region, there are 17 castles each with military commanders all of whom are paired with specific Pokémon.

The gameplay has you control various Pokémon in a combat scenario, having to use them to attack the enemies and fulfill missions.

So it's like... Samurais and Pokemon, and from what I see in the third screenshot you WILL be fighting pokemon... with a human.

Edit: Apparently it's a crossover with "Nobunaga's Ambition". That sounds great. Or is would if I had ever heard of that game before.

It looks like a Strategy RPG crossover, like they did with the Mysery Dungeon games

Nintendo has revealed that it’s releasing a brand new Pokemon game titled Nobunaga Ambition X Pokemon for the Nintendo DS. Details are rather scarce but the game is coming to Japan in the Spring and is apparently a simulation RPG co-produced by Pokemon Co. and Tecmo Koei.

Apparently, Nobunaga's Ambition has been very well recieved in the US, so I guess we will get it?

It will be interesting to see if something like that does get a western release. I do really like the artwork but i'm not sure the genre would be my sort of thing.

Hmm, interesting cross-over. I Think I'll keep my eye on this game to see how it turns out.

I'm not sure what I'm looking at, but I'm excited as hell.

Oh my. I saw Nobunaga and got crazy (nostalgic and) excited. S/TRPGs are my favorite genre of game. This looks a bit watered down but I'll take it.
