Try it with a skill that only hits once. Could be a glitch with Fist Enrage. Could also be a glitch with Stun Mastery though. Try against a non-boss.

With viperisation, counter, w atk buff and energy charge, it was like 13k min 14k maximum. Clean it's like 6.3k to 7k

6592 ~ 7325 clean. 7580 ~ 8423 with viperisation alone. 9594 ~ 10660 with viperisation and w atk buff. 13120 ~ 14578 w/ counter and energy charge as well.

7 noncrits from 53 barrages with 50% crit and +15% with dice 4 which I rolled just before attacking. 7/424 hits which WEREN'T crits. That's not 85% crit rate, lol, so there's something we got and didn't realize.
Probably the same glitch as Paladins - after a hit crits, the rest do too.

It's more impressive with an 8-hit attack than Blast though.
Blast works out to (at 65% crit)
3 crits - 65%
2 crits - 22.75%
1 crit - 7.9625%
0 crits - 4.2875%
average = 83% of hits crit.

I've never tested whether it actually works, though - with such a big gap (65% to 83% = 8% more damage on average) it should show up on stuff that takes a few hits to kill. I should log on my Paladin and hunt something or other.

That might be it, because all of the noncrits are in the first hit.

But barrage and laser are so badass now. 2000% @ 690 ms and 2200 in 15xxish? To TEN whole targets? That's so hot.

I'd say i'm satisfied with where we are right now. The energy system we have now looks much better with faster attacks and we gained damage reduction and status resistance on top of armor crush. Vertical mobility is probably still an issue but at least we move at 160% speed all the time. We can't heal or be invincible, but i'm satisfied with 5% HP/MP per 5 sec.

Just so everyone knows, the mastery levels of skills for bucc went:
Barrage -> Barrage
Demo -> Nautilus
STF -> Guard Crush
DS -> DS
Orb -> Blast
And I'm ASSUMING that time leap 30 -> viperisation 30.

Sorry to be a spoilsport but this thread isn't about mastery books. It's already cluttered enough to sift through for me.

Fixed an error with mastery adjustment for both classes.

Jack is the best Crew summon, actually. His attacks have short delay and hit almost as fast as Octopus Quarterdeck.

Muirhat and Valerie's attacks are slower (similar to old octopus) but hit up to 3-4 mobs. They're also slightly more retarded than Jack, and are prone to standing and looking stupid.

PS: Adjusted Mastery is when Vipers max Viperstition and Captains max Captain's Dignity, their mastery boost goes from 50% to 70%.
I feel like those skills are a shot at GMS, "We named our skills this, your class is named differently. pineapple you."
