Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
1st normal game with Ahri, 5-mans. It was pretty much a roflstomp against us, but I managed to pull off quite a few kills compared to the rest of my team. Needless to say it was pretty awful, although the true damage helped out nicely.

2nd normal game with Ahri, and holy smokes dem <3s. I land one, my teammates and I pile on top of the poor dude, and he dies. Stay the fk away from her if you're not the tank and you're doing the 5-man showdown in a lane.

That game was kinda messed up though, because we had no jungler, and there wasn't a tank on either team. Ahri + Riven versus Riven = dead or horribly sad solo laner.

She's going into OP territory pretty fast, and it's not by <3 alone =/

I'm not positive, but I think that's actually a graphical glitch. I have noticed what you've described otherwise. It doesn't go through golem at least. Ahri is actually fairly capable of taking blue buff by herself, unlike Anivia. I dunno how this compares to other casters, because apparently I don't play the other casters.
Question: Is there another champion that builds or plays like Alistar? I seem to be pretty good at the whole survive forever thing and the mass heal helps everyone. Hell, during a normal PvP game, I had to solo bottom lane cause the nubs I were playing with decided that they needed 2 carries in the mid lane...Funny thing really, the tristana I was playing with was really good, but he was raging so hard cause everyone was doing "nub moves"; I was the only one that got a compliment "Good job Ali for living so long". Yes I KS'd him on accident, but logically, you want to guarantee the kill instead of individual achievement, but I clearly see team work isn't mandatory in this game.

If you want to play supports like Alistar (and have some good CC + heal), Soraka is your best bet. (though you don't get that macho feeling that Alistar has)

Saying about Soraka, just duo queued with my friend in ranked, and I played Soraka to support him in a duo bot setup. Early game was quite horrible for us; we were getting caught and simply not having a good day. However, mid to late game, things started turned around. The enemy team simply failed to focus the squishies (me, LB, my friend [Corki]), and we simply started to win teamfights because we went after the carries. It really feels great when you "top your team off" during the middle of teamfights and give them a better chance at surviving. Tongue1

1342 ELO now. Biggrin Though that match was quite sloppy for me; not playing LoL most of the time this week made me quite rusty. Meh.
Taric would be closer to Alister tbh, Soraka works too though.

Rayquaza2233 Wrote:Fear - either doesn't do damage or has a leash
Blitz grab - slower missile speed and less range, I think
Skarner ult - an ult, dude.
Sona ult - an ult, dude. Also doesn't modify positioning.
Rammus - needs two spells to do what Ahri can do with one. (DBC to do damage and PT to pull them towards you)

Said "CC like it", so I'm not sure what you're trying to say. I know they're not exactly the same. Also Blitz grab (r1000) has a longer range than Ahri Charm (r975), and will bring that enemy all the way to you, including over walls. While I'm not sure what the missile speed on either move is, I wouldn't take Blitz grab so lightly in comparison.

Ahri charm is good, but I don't see it being nerfed specifically because it's "some completely new mechanic that shouldn't be as good as it is", only point I'm trying to make.
Its not like the enemy champion will come running to Ahri and land on the exact same spot where she was by the end of the charm, they walk rather slow.
Welp. Ahri is stupid fun.

It is a glitch but we have to take it into account for now like we did when Lee Sin could double Tempest.
I think Blitzcrank is the most like Alistar TBH. Trololol shield and godlike CCs.
Corn Wrote:I think Blitzcrank is the most like Alistar TBH. Trololol shield and godlike CCs.

True, and they both have some way to shove around opponents. I've always thought of Taric more since both Alistar & Taric are fairly tanky with a heal they can throw at a lane partner.

Trying to tighten up my Mostly-AD Ezreal build, my early itemization costs too much, and once i have it, there's really not much I can ever think to build after. Mostly the problem early on is my mana regen, I'm trying to figure out a way to sustain how ridiculously spammy I am with Q/R. Here's an outline of more or less what I've been trying, minus mana regen:
  1. Boots 1
  2. Wriggles
  3. CD Boots
  4. Sheen
  5. Triforce
  6. Black Cleaver

Still leaves me with two open slots that I'm not quite sure what to do with. Tried a Wit's End once but I really didn't feel like the extra AS helped as much as something giving more AD would. For Mana Regen, I've tried Chalice/Manamune/Eleisa,
Chalice did alright later on, but kind of felt almost like a wasted slot since I really didn't have any other regen items for it to stack up with.
Manamune, while having a lot of synergy with Q, was expensive and there weren't many items I felt I could use besides Triforce.
Eleisa I liked the one game I tried it, but it leaves me with a really awkward start point, as I either start building the wriggles/boots with my first item, or I start with a 3mp/5 item.

I used to play a lot of Ezreal, and after trying several builds, what seemed to work the best was Manamune, merc threads, trinity, BT and the 2 remaining slots on defense.

This pretty much, Mana/Health per 5 Stuff its essencially useless mid and late game since chances are you are not gonna stay in the battlefield long enough to recover your mana/health and that as soon as you reach low mana/health you will B, unlike in the Laning Phase where you must stay 24/7 if possible in the lane to minimize the Exp loss. So increasing your mana pool its more valuable for the end game. And BT over IE because ezreal cant crit with his bread and butter Q. At least this is my opinion.
Very, very rarely will I take BT on anybody, I like not having to re-farm if I die. It's a personal preference thing. Totally agree with not taking IE though.

With using those last two slots for Mana+Def I could totally see a Manamune working better, I'm assuming you took B-Veil/Frozen Heart a lot?
Honestly i take BT mostly due to the Lifesteal, but i dont remember if Ez Q used LifeSteal.
FenixR Wrote:Honestly i take BT mostly due to the Lifesteal, but i dont remember if Ez Q used LifeSteal.

It does.
More reason to Take the BT over anything really, unless you have other sources of Lifesteal.

Settle down on a ahri build for myself:

-Doran Ring
-Ionian Boots
-DeathFire Gasp
-Rabadon Deathcap
-Will of the Ancient

So far i like it megusta.jpg
BT is easily the best ad item in the game.
>Pineapple' Wrote:BT is easily the best ad item in the game.

Believe me, if i dont get a wriggles i get the BT, otherwise i go with IE.

Also Good game with Ahri, managed to stand my ground with Heim and even get a couple of kills off him before Laning fase where over, didnt play as aggresive as im used to be but im satisfied, also needs to work on my R>E a la Ezreal for more aggresive plays. Also yayzors that i only got killed once during a teamfight (Managed to reduce everyone health to pomegranate before i was killed Tongue) and also during a funny Top push where Udyr and Janna tried to chased me, Popped my ult and my flash to escape and Udyr was still behind (Boy he does know how to run) but then i decided to bait him (Since i was also poking him while i was fleeing >.<), in the end karthus popped out of a bush and decided to surprise Buttsex udyr, later we tried to bait heim/corki (forgot) but got killed in the process Sad (Although Karthus killed him)

2gud, i think ahri is well worth it to be my (second) main (My heart still belongs wortheartly to Noc), was planning to give that spot to Xerath but he wasnt made for that privilege Sad
For Corki, I find myself just buying the Meki pendant if I'm spamming too much and leaving it at that. Although I've gotten pretty good at getting by on just runes and masteries.
LalalaDemacia Ch2: now with more Mandrops.
